I've got my new VMod a few days ago and loving it. Kinda. Got some weirdness going on.

It came with a carto and an atty.

Atty had a spiffy silicone ring on it, just below the juice holes. If I drip in it, it vapes great. If I squonk, I start getting the burny taste like it's running dry. Try as I can, I can't get it to flood.

Carto didn't have the same ring, and vapes great from squonking. If I squonk too hard, it floods, but I can suck up the extra juice with a bottle just fine.

I got some shorty cartos as well, but their juice holes seem to be in a different place from the one that came from Vapage, and they taste dry.

So -- am I doing something wrong? What is the significance of that silicone ring?

Thank you!

Thank you both, this helped.

I still can't get it running with the atomizer, at least not as reliably as with a carto.

However, my problem with the 3rd party shorty carto was a bad carto :) I tried a different one, and it's working wonderfully. Also working with my old standard size kanger cartos, which I'm ecstatic about.

Funny, I don't even use the carto b/c the atty has been so damn seamless.

For me I tilt it upside down and wait to see a couple of air bubbles float down. Then I tilt back up and and give one squeeze and I am good to go for 5-6 vapes.
