Im so sick of bad cartos and tanks and dont know what to do. Im ready to give up vaping. Is the vmod really that good? Is it consistant and more reliable than cartos and tanks? Does it work better with cartos or atomizers? Are they finicky to use? Can someone link me to a how to for using a bottom feeder mod please?
Thanks.

this thread will help you out . personally i find my Vmod Xl to be very reliable, although i use other mods for different things, the XL is always my backup vape because as long as i have a charged battery, some juice, and a carto im good to go for at least a solid day of vaping wihtout having to take anything apart or bring extra juice bottles. Really good if you have long commutes to do or for being outdoors alot. Personally i find it works better with cartos because you dont have to worry as much about over-squonking since the filler absorbs most of the excess juice. when i've tried it with atties i would frequently flood them but they do still work as long as the bottom has a hole. a sealed atty, like some of those 510 tank style atties, might not work because there's not alot of space for juice to get in. The main drawback of it for me is the form factor. it's not really that big compared to some mods but you get some rpetty interesting comments from non-vapers. People have asked if my vmod is everything from a walkie-talkie to a can of motor oil :p an i've only had it since may! These days i usually use my itaste and, more recently my ego twist (which i just got today :p) when im vaping out in public like work or friends places or bars etc because i feel like they're slightly less obvious looking and when people do see them, they realize quicker that im using an ecig and not drinking motor oil. For situations where that isnt an issue though, or if you're all about function over form, the Vmod Xl is a solid mod that will take a decent beating and work consitently. Mine doesnt get as much use as it used to but i still love it and recommend it to any one looking for a bottom feeder.
see also:my video review hope this is helpful (p.s. the video was from like 2 weeks after i got the mod so i was alot more enthusiastic about it lol.
also to use a kick in the vmod xl, you need 18490 or 18500 batteries and you need to slighlty modify the inside because the kick needs to touch metal to be grounded, in the thread i linked you to at the top of this post you'll find info on a few different ways to Kick the vmod.

Until I picked up a vmod 2.0, I couldn't kick the smoking habit. eGo batteries with mega dual coil carts were working ok, but the vmod makes it so simple to vape I was able to finally stop smoking.

Having said that, I picked up a Reo 18490 and it is far and aware a more solid piece of equipment. The vmod is a huge step up from cartomizers. The flavor is the same as dripping, and having the capacity of a bottle is what really sold it for me. But like I said, the Reo is in another league altogether.

Its great! I just lost mine at a wedding.. with a kick in it... It really sucks.

Last year I lost a Darwin in a similar situation.... Im the guy that always loses things when I drink!!!!

I have another VmodXL on the way and another kick coming.

I would grab a kick to throw in. You need the 18500 battseries for the kick. Order some conductive tape to put in so you have contact between the negative from the battery and the kicks ground. They are meant for tube mods that are metal on the inside but works with the tape perfectly. I go through almost 2 batteries a day with the kick so thats the only downside. It takes the Vmod XL to the next level. Kicks are great!

I am so use to my Darwin its hard to use a standard 3.7 device even with lr atties.

You will love it! Its so painless and carefree. I like it so much I plan on getting a reo grand vv at some point in the future.
