vodka or rubbing alcohol?

Hate to thread jack but would Rubbing alcohol on a cotton swap be a good way to clean thread on my mods?

Yup. 91% (or 99%) Isopropyl alcohol works best. I use a q-tip or an old soft toothbrush dipped in Iso to clean the threads and connections on my batteries and chargers.
