I have had no indication of a burnt taste. I ordered a package of both sizes and both worked fine. I put in another order today for some more since I know these can be hard to find. To me, they are identical to the royal smokers version, but they are clear so you can see how much juice is left in them. This makes it easy to tell whether you need to add more and prevents overfilling. I've also had no leaking from them at all, which is not something I can say about other cartos I've used.

As far as customer service is concerned, I did not have any problems. I received my first order within 2 days, and this was during the Christmas madness. They use Fedex instead of the usps.

I'm not sure how many people ordering the "clearomizers" are new to the CE2 style cartos, but just in case . . .

My first experience with this type was a little easier because I've been lurking the " http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...kers-c-e2-r4-review-tips-info-help-video.html " thread for the past month or so. CE2 cartos are a little different, so if you haven't used them before, I would suggest flipping through that thread to see some of the nuances of them.

In short, I've found that you can't chain vape on these cartos. I don't know how the wicking is on the clearomizers yet, supposedly they are supposed to wick faster, but the CE2s tend to wick slower. If you vape quickly with them, you can get a burnt taste. This video has some good info. (At 3 minutes about wicking.) Mind you, this video doesn't use the clear ones, but they are similar.

I'd just hate to see some people waste money by accidentally ruining their new cartos.

aprioristic, I've read your experience from volcano...and I betcha Joe and the team would definitely straighten things out with your order...

I've been ordering from volcano for about a year now and have never had a problem...

Please keep in mind that they are located in Hawaii and the time difference there...

Yes, I understand the time difference. That really has little to do with what happened.

You should really plan your orders more carefully then you wouldn't have a reason to run around the forum bashing. You couldn't make up your mind then got ...... when they shipped your order already, but couldn't magically retrieve it. Not like you didn't need to stock up anyways. Had you been doing that before, you wouldn't have had problems with your "rush" to get some things ordered. Tired of your whining about something that was your fault.

Other places have a way to modify orders. Other places respond promptly to support tickets. It isn't my fault that they check voice mail when they come to work but not even skim through their tickets for the words CANCEL. I think they are sorting it out now actually, so kudos to them then.

got my order today - volcano included a nice soft whistle tip with my order, since i hate the flat soft tip this was a bonus

filled one up and while it's great to be able to see how much juice is in there...it tastes burnt. i filled it and shook it and then let it sit before testing. i don't really want to waste the 1.8 ml of juice so i keep letting it sit and trying it again, but i'm not so sure i want to try the other 4.

I received my order and excitedly filed the first one up. Let it sit for a while. Took my first puff and it had the dreaded burned taste. brought the voltage down to 3.3 and the flavor is fantastic. But there is no throat hit at all. Seems that these really like like voltage. Works great at 3.3. Anything above 3.8 starts to bring the burning back. Keep your volts low and you will be surprised. But this really wrecks t for using them on my 5vt box mods:O( Would not order them again until they get some that i can run @5vt.

Got mine from Volcano (e2 XL clear) and I have never been happier. Filled with cignot basic tobacco #3 VG after pulling all the plugs. Then replaced only the center plug, screwed it on my riva (including cone), and great vapor, great TH, couldn't ask for more...well within reason anyway. Been hitting this one cart for 2 days hard and it hasn't missed a lick. Kinda cool to see the liquid inside too.

I have modded all versions of the e2 and they never did this well even after the mods. I will eventually get around to PTB or fray modding one just to see what happens. But I get not a hint of burt taste at all. I have an order in from gotvapes just to compare so I'll see in a few days if theirs are any better.

OK, I received my clearomizers yesterday. Filled, let sit, dripped a drop onto the coil. Good vapor, great heat, acceptable throat hit from the juice I am using . . . not much flavor though. At first I thought it was due to having a head cold. Drip the same juice on an atty as usual, great flavor. Back to the clearomizer . . . less flavor. Grab a non-clear E2 . . . good vapor, great heat, acceptable throat hit from the juice I am using . . . tons of flavor! Hmmmm. I cannot understand.

The only possible thing that I can think of, that could be causing less flavor, would be that the taste of the plastic is leaching into the juice, just slightly, yet enough to hide the flavor. I will try boiling the next one I use, just to get rid of any traces of impurities. Mind you though . . . if given a choice, I will choose soda from: 1. A glass bottle, 2. A fountain drink into a glass, 3. A fountain drink into a waxed cup, 4. A can, 5. A plastic bottle - if I have to. I can taste the aluminum and the plastic in the soda from either of these options. I may just be overly sensitive.

Got my order in from volcano yesterday. These are nice b/c you can easily wiggle off the clear tube by hand, and it has the o-ring built into the connecter. This also worried me though that since they come off so easily, how would they fare in my pocket? It seems to be holding together though so far, only once have I noticed it start to slide off. I always recommend pulling the tube off brand new and washing it off + a dry burn afterwards. I haven't had any burnt taste yet. I really like these over the steel tube cE2's simply just for the fact disassembly is terribly easy ( very needed for cleaning most of the time).

ALSO, if you pull the tube off before you use them, you can remove the filler ring very easily. When you do that, it enables you to use the mouthpiece they come with for a filler ring. simply wiggle it down in there to fit around the ceramic cup and you can now fill them without a syringe. Just push the tubing to one side and use a dropper bottle so drip it down the side of the carto. If you have trouble getting it down in there, you can shorten the tube length to help by using a file.

Hope this helps.

I didn't want to risk the "burnt taste" I had with the steel tubed e2's...a rinse with PGA seems to eliminate the problem.

If you filled one with juice & it tastes burnt, you can easily pour out the juice & do the rinse.

The wicks in these look much better than any in the steel ones I've had. Nice & white, a lot more wick too.

Seems like a huge improvement so far.

I also tried a torch cleaning tonight, where you push the wires up through the cup so the coil is extended past the white ceramic cup. If you are feeling froggy, you can pull it using the wick - not recommended by me. Then you use a torch lighter or (the one I used) a larger bottle torch. Hit the coil off and on with the torch flame. It will burn off that gunk that builds up on the coil VERY nicely leaving a pristine white wick/coil.

I got rid of the burnt flavor. I took out the rubber that sits over the cup and put in a really long mouth rubber from a V4L carto it keeps it from leaking out the mouth hole and covers the cup but lets juice run thru the coil so it is always wicking. I only had one of the really long carto rubbers so on the next clearomozer I put in a 306 carto mouth rubber (this is the peice we take out to fill) Then the rubber that came in it. The 306 has a smaller hole in it than the 510 ones so it holds the juice from running out. It works great. I haven't had any burnt taste at all, and I can chain till my hearts content usually a few hours or until its empty anyway.

I got my pack of the normal sized clearomizers and am happy with them so far, no burnt taste, good vapor and for most of the juices good TH and flavor. I filled up three with different flavors and was pleasantly surprised by the vapor and taste. The ecoPure juice I put in one had great vapor but didn't have much taste or throat hit, not really sure why but it is what it is I guess. The other two juices tasted great and hit much better than the other cartomizers i've used. I'm pretty new to all this and usually drip at home and fill up a mega cartridge when I'm on the go. I've always felt like I was wasting a lot of liquid with cartridges and I've only used one type of cartomizer before and was disappointed with the vapor and TH. All in all I'm happy with them on my eGo. This will be my new "out and about" setup as you can see the juice and I feel the juice will last longer than with my carts.
