well I picked up some of both just to compare, and they work the same , although i would go with the smokeless image brand as they are cheaper, and have the same ends as nhalers dripper carto's. i had a bunch of V4L battery's laying around and though, why not try these out and i must say they are very impressive. I like them better than the CE2's i have been using , no dry hits and they just work.. now I can put my old battery's to use again..

I am curious about the smokeless image batterys.i was trying to find a picture of the Threaded end of them as i was curious how big the center hole is in them.As i have some 808d1s that use the Larger hole and some have a very tiny hole.I find i like the larger opening better .Can anyone clarify or show the Size of the air hole ?

Your Smokeless Image cartos have endcaps looking like this?!

That's what my Bloog cartos look like. The VOLTs have small-holed hard endcaps. Imagine has told me that – although they will be carrying the soft caps – all their current stock are hard caps.

BTW, my interactions with him confirm all the great things I've been reading about Smokeless Image customer service! He reached out to me (because of a passing comment I made in a post in the ECF Bloog forum) and has bent over backwards to accommodate. [Not that I was being difficult; he just has been super proactive.]:thumb:

Odd - my Volts do have the soft caps.

Have you had a chance to do a comparison yet with the Volt vs. the Bloog? Mine perform the same, although I do seem to have different cartos.

Yes, that is odd. Perhaps they used to carry the soft caps. And I know that they will again. But Imagine told me that all they have in stock now are the hard caps.

I will be doing that comparison (with the help of that proactive support I mentioned). The batts feel and behave identically, but I got off to a false start with the cartos (ordered the wrong nicotine level and in a flavor I hated).

Thanks Don, I LOVE your reviews, so I will continue to wait (not so) patiently.

Normally, I have nothing constructive to add on the topic of 808 units, but I just picked up a Volt PCC, batts, and some cartos for use during more "proper" or "formal" settings.

The Grape cartos I got have hard end caps while the blanks have soft caps. Odd, but I am fine either way. I have also been very pleased w/ the performance of these cartos/batts. The PCC is nice, but feels a bit on the cheap side. All in all, with the 20% off that I got, it was a pretty decent value. I shall be formally reviewing it all very soon!

Personally, I do not like the taste of the current VOLT cartomizers (prefilled or blank) ... certainly when compared to the MaxX Fusion. [The vapor production is very good.]

I'm holding off doing a review until Smokeless Image gets in their new, entirely redesigned cartos (filled with the same e-liquid as Bloog's). If they are as good as I hope:

♪♬Bye bye, Bloog. Bye bye, Bloog.
Bye bye. Don't cry. Bye bye, Bloog!♪♬

Don, what exactly do you mean by not liking the taste of "blank cartos"?
All cartomizers, cartridges, and atomizers impart a unique taste to the vape, regardless of the e-liquid. USA Mix dripped in an 801 atty tastes different from USA Mix soaked in a Smok Tech dual coil 510 cartomizer, which tastes different from USA Mix soaked in a Kr8 cartomizer. Gosh! Haven't you found that to be the case (whatever the e-liquid you use)?

And, to me at least, USA Mix soaked in a MaxX Fusion carto tastes different from (and better than) USA Mix soaked in a VOLT carto. [Actually, I used Vapor4Life's Wowboy.]

Ummm Mr. DaBoomVape I have a question. You said:

If this is true (I hope it is), and Smokeless image has said that they will be carrying juice, does this mean that I can finally have my Bloogesque RY4?!?!!!

Also to Eli, thanks for your posts on the Volt. I ordered two batts and am quite pleased. I find them just as good as my bloogs and much more responsive than the two other kr808 batts i purchased from another vendor.

So even if the "regulated to 3.6 volts" and "better switch" become standard on the kr808, I guess customer service will never be standardized. Glad to know smokelessimage is around.

Since I am not a Smokeless Image rep (I just play one on TV ... oops, I mean I just talked to one), I can't assure you about any specific flavor, just pass on what I heard, i.e., that general statement.

I also find that the VOLT batts perform identically to the Bloog.

For academic interest only, CyberWolf has recently reviewed the current version of VaporNine's Nebula. He finds the batts and cartos to be virtually identical to the Bloog (Mini-sized). They're even more expensive than Bloog. Thus the "academic interest" preface.

Fantastic reply and thank you! I noticed the same thing but assumed I was imagining it. LOL Same juice, same battery, etc.

I will have to get out my meter and see if there is any difference in resistance or if perhaps the batting is the cause.

If Basilray likes these they must be good. I enjoy your reviews and you seem to be truly honest in your videos. I've been considering buying one of these sets, im sold now. THANKS

Don have you seen the kr808d1 mf style batteries and dripper cartos from nhaler? People are saying they are manufactured by the same factory as the bloog. It would be interesting to know if the apollo, bloog, nebula, volt, and nhaler batteries with drippers are all the same.

Just metered out a Volt Carto and a Bloog Maxx Fusion. They both metered at 2.5ohm on the nose for me. Tomorrow (Monday 5/23) I am going to be tearing one of each open to see what's inside! :vapor:

I will be doing a video review of the Volt in the very near future (hopefully this week).

A sincere thanks! KNowing people enjoy the vides I put out makes it all the more worth my time and effort.

I like the Volt a LOT more than I thought I would. It has been a pleasant surprise. Having never previously enjoyed an 808 carto (outside of a regular Bloog carto at 5v once), I think this would be a great starter unit for someone. I find the Volt cartos to have a stiffer draw, but both the Volt Cartos and Bloog MF's perform quite well. I think the Bloogs seem to require a bit less "resting" between puffs, which would lead me to believe they wick better.
