Has anyone else experienced a Volt with an LED that refuses to light up while on the USB? I'm using a 68mm Volt battery with the standard USB that came with it. I swear the thing lit up the first time I charged it, but now. . .nothing! The weirdest part? It totally lights up/blinks/flashes/whatever when I take it off the USB. The charger appears to be working fine as it's light changes from red to blue once the battery is fully charged. I guess my main concern is whether or not I should send this guy back or if it's just a fluke amongst an otherwise perfectly working battery.

So the battery charges and works ok? Are you using a wall adapter? I have two non-SI wall adapters I use with my Volts. For some reason the LEDs don't always light up on one of them, but always work with the other. Have you tested a second batt? If it's both batts then it's prolly the usb charger. If not, your batt's LED connection may be a bit loose. I'd just email their CS.
As a general caution, try not to bang batts around too much. (not saying you have in particular).

Could one be one two things, obviously. The battery or the charger. If the battery doesn't charge it really doesn't tell you much does it? It could still be either. You'd have to try charging a second battery if you have one, and if it charges then you know it's battery 1. Seek a warranty refund if possible. I'll just chalk this up as one more reason I don't like people recommending Volts all the time. There are so many better performing and cheaper PV's out there. I would vape a banana if it gave me a good hit. I'm sure my opinion here isn't very helpful... :)

Is your battery fully charged? It won't light up on the charger if it is. The 65mm and 78mm batteries come fully charged. Also, when on the charger, once the battery has charged full, the led goes out. It will still flash when you take it off the charger.

The Volt batteries (minis) will always flash a few times when you take them off the charger. This is planned and normal.

If you do have a battery that is acting up, contact Customer Service. There is a 30-day money back guaranty and a 3-month warranty for faulty equipment (under normal use).

When your battery needs charging, the draw will be light and the led will flash when you try to draw. Because of the regulation, it usually happens right now - when it needs to be charged. Don't confuse this with the cutoff, however. There is an automatic cutoff after about 7 seconds for the minis for a draw and the led will flash then too.

Contact SI CS, explain the issue and I know they'll give you a replacement. VERY rare we hear about any probs with the Volt.
ECF SI Forum- they'll answer quick but you need 5 posts and then wait 1 hr for the ECF servers to reset:

Also post your pic for a free batt, juice or cartos:

Good Luck.

Edit: Imagine is the SI ECF Rep...here's the thread where you can post your question.

Everything seems to work just fine. I've been using and charging the same battery for two days without problem, except for the LED not lighting connected to the USB. I've connected the USB to a wall adapter, car adapter, and computer/PS3. All seem the charge just fine, but without the battery LED ever coming on (that is, until I disconnect it). I'm going to order another battery to test it out because I need a backup anyway. If I run into any more issues, I'll contact CS and request a warranty exchange. I guess I didn't want to bother if this was a common issue amongst other users.

P.S. I love everything about my Volt (minus this hiccup). It made for an easy transition from analogs and, as time goes on, I might consider becoming a vaping enthusiast with a crazy setup. . .in fact, I look forward to putting my rather nerdy nature to good use in the MOD world. For right now though, I'm curbing my appetite for cigarettes and that's all that really matters. Thanks!
