Dunno if this applies to these (so many different kinds of plastic out there), but I found this running list: Flavors that crack clearos
TK, read post #43. Maybe it's a manufacturing defect too. Then you might be in luck!

Nothing I could see on that thread. I was using AmericanELiquids tobacco flavor when I emptied and cleaned it. then I used some Flavor Apprentice tobacco blend when it broke. Not sure if it was the juice that did it or I just got a bad clearo.

Oh, and it was not hooked up to its USB cable or anything when it went.

ok, the admin from smokeless image had replied to my ticket that 100% vg can't be used in these. so, I mixed some 100% vg dulce de luc I had on hand from velvet vapors and 100% pg dulce le luc from gourmet vapors. it was about 60/40 pg/vg. filled the clearo half way( well under the 1.6 ml line) and it burnt by the 7th vape.

none of the suggestions I've received so far have worked. i think it's back to the drawing board. let me know when the kinks are worked out...i still want something that will work with my volt x2.

I am at about 2 weeks vaping Boz Berry Melon (strawberry-watermelon), a 60/40 mix from eJuiceMonkeys and haven't had a problem in 1 of my clearos. I did have a leak at about 2 weeks on one from NHaler. After fiddling with it, I decided it was done and tossed it. Once it leaks out the bottom of a clearo, it will continue to leak. I was vaping Banana Waffles in it. It never cracked though.

If you are using the same clearo as before, your wick may be burnt up. :(
I believe I may have been the one to give you this information, since it was what I was told. But if you would like, we can replace this item for you, see if you have any better luck?
In your previous email to CS, you can just send us another message saying you talked to me- and we'll get you set up! :D

Bummer to hear. My SI Clearomizer started to leak from bottom after a few days.
1 of my Tests for these new items is to see what would happen if I filled it , at let it Stand without using it much.
I went a day without using it ( just used my PT during that time ) , When I went to take a hit , it was very hard to draw , So I removed the Clearo from the x2 batt and there was a puddle of juice.

My clearos have been doing great!

No leaks, no problems, no complaints.

I have been vaping 100% VG in two of them. I'm cleaning them after two fills by rinsing thoroughly with warm water then letting them air dry for a few hours before filling back up.

The other two are filled with an 80/20 PG/VG. I still give them the same treatment, but after three fills instead of two.

I'm so happy that I'm ordering six or eight more as soon as I finish checking ECF.

Good times!

My husband has had no problems with his. I seem to have medusa-type touch when it comes to anything, myself! LOL! Mine started leaking, but dummy me tried cleaning up the bottom with a toothpick and tissue after I blew some excess nicquid out of the center hole. Not a good idea, since the gasket on the bottom broke as a result of it. :-/ Hubby was nice enough to let me use his, as our SI order should be here today with more clearomizers! :)

I've been loving the clearos so far, but today I left it sitting for a bit after I refilled it and came back
to find that it had dumped half the juice through the battery connection.

Up until now it has been working flawlessly, but I am a little concerned since I usually keep it in my
pocket or backpack.

Any ideas why? Or even better how to avoid the leaks??

TIA - hs

I have found that I have to pay close attention when I put the clearo onto the battery. I turn the clearo upside down and screw on the battery so it goes on properly. Just what I've found, hope it helps.

I've had the leaking issue with mine too, two days in, with two different flavors. The vapor and taste has been awesome, but the leaks sucked. Hopefully this will be straightened out in my next batch, because I freaking love these things! Could it have to do with how tight or loose I am screwing the the mouthpiece and the batt? I'd REALLY like to keep these things going as long as possible, because they truly do produce GREAT flavor and vapor.

After some heavy/steady use, I have to say I am really happy with these. No cracks, no leaks, and they stand up well to a short vodka bath between flavors. I've knocked them over while perched on an X2 a few times, dropped them on the floor, and left them in my car in the direct sunlight.

I don't have any 100% VG juice, but everything I do have seems to wick and toot fine. Juices do seem to get thick/dark in them. That's when I toot what I can out of them, dump the remaining bit, and soak them in vodka for 10 minutes. Shake them out, leave them on a paper towel for a bit, fill them up, and off we go.

I'm gonna buy some more. :)

twisting it too too might cause and issue... also overfilling causes liquid to leak out the top when you screw the tip back in.

Ok, I'll try this...I really would like this to work..is there a way to take them apart to replace the wike? Or is it just time to replace the clearo when this happens?

It's weird how different people have different experiences...I've had no leaks...and I get a good draw from these, unlike the visions.

I actually had a small leaking issue on my 3rd fillup, but realized it was totally fixable. First I noticed the gurgling and after removing the battery found a drop of juice there. I then cleaned the clearo from the botom with a rolled up piece of paper towel blowing from the mouthpiece side.

Then comes the part that's very important. I re-screwed the drip tip on, making sure it was completely centered and tight so no juice could get through there. I also was more careful when refilling, makin sure not even one drop spilled into the rubber base. Now the clearo is back to working perfectly, even on subsequent refills :)

I guess maybe I didn't screw it in tigh enough, or perhaps screwed it in too tight and off center that time. Either way, I think if one takes special attention to screwing in the tip, most of these issues can be avoided. So don't go throw them in the trash if you experience this :2c:

Like so many others, I got my clearo today too (just one). I am letting it wick for a few minutes while I write this. I also got the XL cartos. Not happy at the moment - something must be wrong with the filler, cuz I put in like 10 drops and they just sit there in a puddle on top. Setting aside to see if it will eventually soak in. There is also a much bigger empty gap between the top of the filler and the top of the carto, not sure if that is by design or not.

OK time to try the clearo.....

Holy smokes! Guess I need to buy a few more now.

Yup, same thing just happened to me with one of the XL carto's. Juice would not absorb and just sat there on top. I noticed that the center tube was misaligned and not properly centered in that one. Proding the filler material with a paperclip demonstrated that it was highly compacted; likely a manufacturing defect. Just threw it out...the other 4 in the package worked just fine.

That said, the X2 clearos are working great for me and I'll be ordering more soon. Although I like both the XL's and clearos, the clearos are clearly more convenient and less fussy, at least for me.

36 hours without an analog...and counting. The thing I find almost unbelievable is that I really did not set out to quit analogs at first, simply to reduce the nasty habit. Yet I really don't feel the urge to consume analogs (that much) since I've taken to vaping. So I'm just going with it and see how far this takes me.
