so i broke down and bought the volt standard starter kit. i have the cig2o already but i will be going on vaca soon and want to make sure that when i am not around the house i have enough batt power to get through lol. plus the drive itself is about 8 hours long. i got the upgraded battery for a dollar and the sweet sampler for my cartos. then i also ordered a carrying case, blank cartos, and a bottle of thier cappuccino liquid. im excited to get my stuff! after everything ive heard about the volt i couldnt help but order it.

i think after vacation i might get the x2 batt and some clearomizers. anyone have any good or bad things to say about them?

You made the right choice. Very smart to buy the 78mm battery, it has 50% more charge. In case you didn't know, you can get a free battery, bottle of juice or pck of cartos. After you get your volt, go to their subforum on here. Under stickies, go to "faces of volt". If you post a picture of yourself with your volt, they will send you one of the free items.

For an 8 hour drive you are going to wish you had the X2 batt with the clearomizers... Unless you are a chain vaper it would have last you the entire trip... Personally I like mine a lot. With the pass thru function you can continue vaping with them while they are recharging. The clearos last me about a month and I have had one last me longer...

The two 78mm batts should last for the length of your trip - again unless you chain vape them, but when you get there you will need to start recharging (immediately) before the second batt runs out on you. The 78mm batts are great out and about batts - I have 4 of them, but for long hauls - again the X2 is the way to go and use the 78's for in the pocket devices and or as backups. Now if you have 4 like I do - that is plenty...

well even if they dont last me for whatever reason i have my cig2o still and 2 batts for that so between all of them i should be more than good to go. and i am in no way a chain vapor. i vape just like i smoked. about 5-10 mins ever 30 mins to an hour. sometimes a bit more sometimes a bit less.

I would order three more of the 78mm batteries to fill your case and have one in your hand (five total). The should leave plenty of capacity for your trip and the recharging time when you get there.

as nice as that would be right now i just dont have the money to do that. and once i do get the money after vacation im thinking the x2 and clearomizers would be the way to go. i might be wrong though.

Just order one or two during the sales which they seem to have about once a month and slowly build up your collection. I haven't tried the x2 yet but my neighbor has one. I have several ego batteries which are the same size as the x2s. I prefer the smaller 808 size when I leave the house (and mostly at home too) but use the egos at home when I feel like dripping or trying different juices from my "pile" :)

You should have no problem then and it sounds like you have a good backup plan. You will enjoy the Volts - for the size I think it is about the best on the market (IMO)...

I haven't tried the regular volt, but I freaking •love• my X2! The clearos perform beautifully too. And the passthru option rocks lol. I alternate between the X2 and a kgo, love them both. If you are considering an x2 I definitely say go for it!!! I have the largest batt size, and I love the balance and feel of it. I am a heavy vaper and the x2 went all day for me.

Smokeless Image is one of the best companies for 808 products out there. However, I don't care much for their juice. Their cartos are awesome tho and if you don't happen to like the juice save the cartos, you can learn to clean them out later for re-use. You will probably try MANY different juice companies in the future. I love SI for their batteries, battery and carto wraps, soft drip tips and especially their excellent 808 cartos. They have a subforum here on ECF and it is a great place to visit. Customer service is great too. I love their case too. It's better than other cases I have come across that are metal and have the little indents for the batteries and cartos. I have 2 of their cases now and they are just much better quality than the norm. I can fit much more in them and I can fit cartos with drip tips on them too.

Vapedudes is my favorite vendor. :2cool:

I've just started using X2 clearomizers from smokeless image. They're great for the most part but sometimes they leak. I think they may be wicking too fast (delivering too much liquid to the atomizer), which causes "flooding." Basically you'll be vaping away and suddenly get a gurgling sound. It's not terrible, you just need to take off the clearomizer and blow out the tube to get rid of the excess liquid. Even with that issue, I like them a helluva lot more than cartomizers.
