The Infinity Pro, with two sets of batteries and charger...

Thanks. Based on your rec I will hold out for the Infinity Pro. I was reading today that it should be available in roughly a month. In the mean time I am going to invest in a good pass through. Between the PT and my ego battery stash that should last me until the Infinity Pro is ready even if some atty experimentation costs me a couple of batteries.

I settled on 2 of the first run Provari's last year and just a week ago picked up the Buzz Pro.
I am a dripper and go through a few different juices and also chain vape; it's very nice to have a few of these "smart" pv's on hand for instant gratification..
I'm impressed with notcigs' Pro ... the dial is a breeze and the regulator is doing what one would expect; great vapes on any atty... even LR's. (the Provari has an amp limiter that knocks you off if you go above a certain voltage). It's lighter than the Vari by a lot, but feels like it will hold up well to normal use/abuse.

Not that i don't adore my Vari... Provapes is a solid company imo - they set the standard for quality and technology. I don't begrudge the extra weight and after having the Vari for 78 months, i've learned a lot about voltage, resistance etc with their readouts.

I've had The Darwin and although it has some things the Vari doesn't I prefer the Vari myself... not knocking it.

The Pro Infinity looks like a great choice ... improved casing and same internals as the BP... and the new Top Feeding notcigs VVPV is coming out after that.

4.8 - 5V with 3 ohms -- right around 8W, lots of vapor, nice warmth. When people wonder what HV is like, I suggest trying a true "dumb" passthrough, with 2A USB power supply -- under $25 total (I already have 3 ohm stuff, as an 808 user).
If the PT works well for you, then it's time to look for a 5V mod, or, better yet, a variable voltage, in the future :)

I've been doing a lot of reading on and searching for PTs. One question - when you say "dumb" PT do you mean one without the built in battery? I have not been able to find such a critter, at least I don't think. Some vendor's descriptions are vague. Is there a specific one you can recommend?

Yes, one without the built-in battery/regulator. It's basically wires running through a tube, with a switch/button, to the atomizer/carto connector. In 808 gear I've bought them from vapor4life, nhaler, vaporsetc. For 510, something like: Smok Tech 5 Volt 510 Manual USB Passthrough (I suspect at least some of the "does not work" comments were from people using LR atties and/or plugging into a PC USB that had issues driving enough amps for even a standard atty. The standalone 2A USB power supply really is good to use, and even then limit yourself to 2.5 ohms or greater -- 10Watts, plenty of power for good vaping).

Markfm, wanted to come back by and give you a big ol' "Thank ya, thank ya very much..." on the pass thru rec. What a difference this thing has made!

I first tried it on my TW mega SR. The results were lackluster, but that is the atty's fault. I don't know if its the "mega" dynamic or what, but it just did not get hot enough. It vaped ok, just on the cool side.

Then I got out my dse-510s and wow! I feel like I'm downstairs on That 70's Show puffing such giant clouds of vape - wow! Several juices I had given up on are now producing clouds and lots of good flavor. Even better that these are $5 attys, so I can just stock up.

I also added one of those ultrasonic cleaners to my collection. So now I have plenty of clean attys to switch out when one gets too dirty. I also bought one of those car cig lighter to USB adapters so I can use the pass thru in the car, which is nice.

Now if I can only hold out for the IP to be released. Only a couple weeks to go!

Thanks again!
