Bookmarking this thread as it's quite relevant to my interests.

I had so many bookmarks that I couldn't remember why I bookmarked a thread. Now I c&p posts and make document folders and label them 'voltage' "cleaning' etc.

That's my little attempt to stay organized with so much info.

I thought it was a great explanation! I copied and saved it.

thanks...I try and show the math along the way so that other people can plug in their own gear and figure it out based on their stuff...

but it reads as technical sometimes...but if it helps any new users understand what's going on inside and make better more satisfying choices without having to spend a ton of cash right out the gate then it's worth it...

some might say that $160 for a mod is too much....but figuring costs of start up kits, replacement batteries, mall kiosk mistakes....it's actually on par and cheaper in the long run...

really it comes down to whether or not they can get past the it must look like a cigarette or be close to the same size hurdle

Great guide! Some folks are more inclined to ask questions for hours, or days, than read for 5min. tho.

It really wasn't that bad. I know I've said worse and I'm not going anywhere. I hope you don't either.

I have found that things I write (text) can easily be taken the wrong way because there is no body language and tone of voice involved. I believe the computer (internet) is creating a new type of language that has just began to bloom and has not reached it's full potential. Even the signs and phrases we use to express ourselves in text will surely morph into something closer to true expression in the future. Of course there is the telephone and skype which in some ways makes a text message redundant. The fact is sometimes we just do not want to talk we want to text. If the power goes out we are all screwed lol. Back on topic. The info pages here are very informative. Reading will set you free lol. Oh yeah, what is the price of eggs in China?

I would read here until I got a headache and smoking the whole time! All the numbers and types ran together and I didn't know what was what.

I finally posted, told about myself, asked for a suggestion. Mlinky gave me a little shopping list and I ordered everything on it. That was it! Now if only I could follow her to Reo-land I'd be in heaven!

One of these days!

You'll get there :) {{{hugs}}}

LOL. I feel you. Do you own a fat batt like eGo or... ? Here's a consumer's take on what you get with ohms and voltage rather than how they work. There are smart people here than can share the science. I'm not one of them. Here's how ohms and voltage effect a vaper's experience:

The lower the ohm number the warmer the vape. The low ohm supplies are called Low Resistance or LR. They're made to simulate high voltage vaping for a full, warm cigarette-like vape. LR supplies shouldn't be used on batteries less than 450 mAh. 100 mAh = about an hour of vape time. LR supplies put stress on the batteries so you may get a bit less than an hour per 100 mAh.

1.25 ohm = very warm vape. Many would call it hot.
1.5 ohm = vey warm vape
1.7 = warm vape (this is a fan favorite for many)
2.0 - 2.2 ohm - great starting point to try LR supplies. Warm vape without so much worry of burning carto filler etc.
3.0 Regular resistance = cool vape

Warning: Don't use LR supplies on skinnys (cigarette-sized) batteries. I wouldn't suggest lower than 2.0 on eGos. The new 1100 mAh Rivas and the Kgos are 3.7v and can take the stress of any LR supply I've thrown at them.

Vlotage is how much umph you get when you vape. You feel a definite difference vaping at 3.2v than 3.7. It offers a bigger, stronger hit, the flavor comes through better etc.

Hope this helped rather than confused.

I think I may love you. lol. Thank you for posting this in laymans terms. I copied this and put it in a separate folder.
