Ok so after 2 weeks of vaping, I decided to go to the variable voltage scene. I'll start newb style, with an ego-C Twist battery...to learn the ropes etc for a few weeks. But I've got some questions, since I don't fully understand how the voltage on the battery relates to the ohmes on the resistances.

So, I have 2 setups..Clearomizer with an LR resistance (1.8 ohms) and a carto-tank with a Boge LR (2.0 ohms). Now, can you guys explain to me (with some examples), which voltage is better (or safe) to use with these ohms..and if I need to buy higher ohms resistances and crank up the battery voltage higher (>4 V)?

Thanks alot!

As Aoi~ says start at the low end voltage wise and work your way up until you fund your sweet spot. Twist is 3.2 to 4.8 volts. Around 4.2? should be max voltage for 1.8.
Low res clearos and cartos are best for 3.7 PVs- Kgo for example. I'm waiting on a VV 3-6 volts but luckily have a bunch of higher ohms/ dual coil stuff left over when I owned a Provari.

You will find this quite helpful, Ohm's Law Calculator

You will find that you like vaping in a relatively narrow power band, which is measured in watts (the higher the watts ... the brighter the light bulb)
Once you know what wattage range you like, all you need to know is one other factor (volts or ohms), and the calculator will figure out the rest for you.
It is said that the average person likes to vape at about 8 watts, so that gives you a place to start. (I'm a woos, and like it a bit lower)

My Kgo comes off the charger @ 4.2 and 1.7 single coil cartos in a tank are vape heaven. My Don is also 3.7 and handles the 1.7 cartos great. I've found with the clearos 1.8 is too warm so I use 2.4 ohm clearos. Funny cuz I like a warm vape.

So in theory, the lower the ohms, the lower the voltage right? I mean..vaping with a clearo at 1.8 ohms, I should stay somewhere betweehn 3.2-3.7 V? (I know it's about the taste, that's why I said in theory). Also, for the 2.0 ohms in the tank, 4V or above. Will get the Twist on Monday, but I wanna get some general idea about it all hehe
