Hello and welcome back for todays review of the Drag x2 Kit which is one of two new Drag kits released from Voopoo, I will review the other Drag kit soon so keep your eyes open for it. The Drag X2 Kit uses a single 18650 battery that's replaceable and ha 3 power modes to choose from with a maximum power output of 80watts. There is a new pod in this kit that is 100% leak free because it's a top air pod, along with the new pod are new PNP coils. What's different about this new kit? Let's find out!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


Packaging is nicely done with a box in a sleeve design, on top of the Drag X2 and Tank sits a white rectangular box containing the user manual, charge cord and 2nd coil ( 0.3Ω Mesh ). I was sent the Silver color and have to say that it's like a pearl with iridescence that sparkle with colors. The body is wrapped in leather with 2 rows of stitching on both sides of the spine which has a design of it's own that really makes the device pop bringing the attractive look to life.

The Drag X2 uses the same connection method for the pod as before having 4 magnets to do so, the connection is strong but being carried in a pocket the tank may be pulled off. For safety reasons Voopoo places a sticker across the bottom of the installed coil so remember to remove it.

Filling the pod is as most using a side fill with the rubber plug, I don't like this method and wish that a top fill method was used in it's place, the fill port is large making for a mess free fill up.

Voopoo is introducing a new pod with this kit and it's a top air version making it leak free. There is one downside some may not like and it's the drip tip which is fixed and can't be swapped out for one of your own, in the time I've used it I had no issue with comfort and it looks good also.

Getting down to the device I mentioned earlier just how nice it looks and I think you will also agree. As a pearl dazzles with all the colors it projects so does the Silver colored Drag X2. The biggest pro up this device is that it's a C-Frame design which happens to be my favorite.

The cover fits very tight with no chance of it coming off, also on my sample version there is zero play on the cover. Voopoo rounded all the edges on the X2 for a very comfortable fitment in the hand.

The front of the device has a large easy to read display screen with wattage being displayed in a very large font, all the other info fonts are of just the right size for squint free viewing. Information is laid out in a nice grid style and you also get battery % as well as a battery bar.

The menu system is so easy to operate using just a couple of button combinations

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


For me this sample that was sent has worked flawlessly, I only vape in wattage so having just wattage adjustments is great. The smart power mode is my go to mode on Voopoo devices that have it because it automatically sets the wattage at the lowest setting rated for the coil being used so mistakes of forgetting that your wattage is set to high for the coil being used.

The RBA mode bypasses the smart feature allowing you to set the wattage to the full 80 watts and the ECO mode reduces power slightly to preserve battery life.

Most of you know I like a warm vape and higher power settings so it should come to no surprise that the 0.15Ω coil is my preference but the 0.3Ω coil also pops with flavor just not as warm.

As far as the new Pod that is now top air I have to say it's a air machine strictly for DL vaping but if you close the airflow down to just less than a quarter open you can get a RDL vape and that's how I've used it during testing.

Voopoo claims a coil is good for 100mls of juice run through it but I can't substantiate that claim but will say that flavor is still popping after using about 40mls.

Overall I think the Drag X2 Kit is a winner and do recommend it. I would like to thank Voopoo for providing this kit for the purpose of my review and i'd like to thank all of you that read my reviews.
