Update on the current mods,

Silver and copper oak rough sanded after filling, ready to sand down to 600 grit and re-ebonise.

Buckeye and walnut ready for squonk holes and finish sand, these are quite striking with the horn caps, and have a strong colour contrast.

Bone filled oak has a very subtle fill and just needs a bone button and switch made to be up for grabs!

Man oh man, I'm thrilled I stumbled upon this thread....these are the best looking mods I've ever seen....!

Looking at the pictures the tolerances are incredible. Vaughn, you're surely a true craftsman....!

the top 6 will fall off in the next week or so, and then the next ones are up for starting. each mod is a process that happens in many stages, sometimes with a full day in between stages, so it does take time. 2 week school holidays didn't help either...

How the hell am I suppose to pick what type of mod I want? You have all those beauties, and you come in with that crazy blue wood...making things difficult on us.

Still unfinished, has the first 2 coats of finish on, and will be sanded back and more coats applied tomorrow. The horn polishes beautifully, this is sanded to 1200 grit and polished with brasso...impervious to moisture and hard yet pliable, think finger nail but much harder...great stuff! Grain is visible but subtle.
