11:56 pm, shed locked and my work is done for the day, and it was a cracker! 4 mods sent home.

Body shaped, voids filled, magnet holes in, and horn n copper caps epoxied together in the press for Phillip's parallel. Cutting the "blue" in the morning has me a little nervous, tight tolerances and one of the prettiest sticks yet...

That first pic looks like bone and matai, haven't seen that one. Very nice, I love the matai grain it is velvety and shimmering.
I love my tripp, but also like your idea to delete the battery cassette. May need another one

That's Jazzvaper's matai/burr mod from a while back, I made a bad call on the caps and had to bring it back for a free bone refit, and it was worth it, better than ever with your mushroom too! The new tripp will still have extra parts to connect the battery pos terminals, but I have some ideas...

Work progressing on Phil's para, and got the blue mods shaped. Nothing about how this stuff works is consistent with natural wood, hard to describe but is has become something else entirely! Bores very well and sands beautifully without having to worry about the usual pitfalls that can bring you unstuck. Result is lovely!
