My silver bullet is close to wearing out. I've had it for over 2 years now and it's been great even though I've been rough with it. So, I've decided to buy a VV mod, but I don't know which one. Price is not a major issue. I just need something durable and dependable. I also would like something that I don't have to wait weeks to get.

Also, I don't know much about dual coil attys or tanks...is this something I should consider buying? These were not around when I started vaping, so I've never found a need for them. I just vape with a 2.5 atty at 6 volts.

Are there any other accessories I should consider?

Sorry for so many questions, but I'm trying to catch up before I make a purchase.
Thanks

The variable watt Darwin is top of the line for many reasons. I would suggest you seriously consider it. It comes standard with a full two year warranty at no extra charge. It has a full one year warranty on the battery. It's power regulated using boost circuit technology which makes every inhale as good as right off the charger. It is the only model on the market that has technology that senses the resistence change in the atty/carto as you vape and automatically adusts the power to maintain your original power setting. You can also us dual coil cartos on it. The battery life on a charge is 21 - 35 hours, so there is no need to carry extra batteries. It is also a pass-through.

Good Luck with your search.

I don't know a lot about the Darwin....have looked mostly at the Provari. I have read that the Darwin does not have a replaceable battery....what do you do when the battery goes out???

Personally, I prefer to keep things simple. The Provari looks impressive but, do you really need all the bells and whistles? Actually given the controls on a Provari, you do. With up/down buttons, you can't tell where you are without that digital read out and you have to pay for it. With a good honest knob, you can tell by knob position. You find out very quickly where you like to start and and while you're vaping it's a little up or a little down from there. Same as any other VV.

I'll put my vote in for the Buzz Pro. It outperforms the Provari on dual coils; it's cheaper than the Provari; and it has a good honest knob.

Darwins do look sweet but like you said allways out of stock. I'm a big tank guy and the tanks look a little silly on them. Too bad yer bullet is dying out you could of got a kick for it. I actually was thinking of getting that very set up so i can try VW. I like the good solid look of the SB.

I decided just today to go with a Provari V2. Mainly for 3 reasons:

1) 3.5 amp limit. I don't use LR dual coil attys or cartos... but it's nice to know I can now if I want without any hastle.

2) Accu set technology - this was a big selling point for me as now I'll know exactly what I'm vaping at, regardless of load. This has been a problem with my lava tube, as I'm never sure what it's doing voltage wise when it checks the resistance; and way too often, voltage changes don't seem to differ very much in heat or TH... unless I make a large jump from like 3.4v to 4.7v or something like that.

3) I like the ability to check my resistance on the fly, instead of having to break out the multimeter... excellent when you drive and vape as much as I do.

I passed on the Darwin for looks, cost and availability.

No backup?!? The thought alone sends a chill down my spine 8-o

I'll tell you though, Notcigs' devices - especially the VVPV - really gave the Provari a run for it's money. I pained over this decision between the two for the last two weeks. I have a feeling Notcigs will get some of my $$$ sooner or later. Quality stuff over there.

Well, the battery comes with a full one year warranty. The owner of Evolv, who makes the Darwin, told me that their tests indicate that the battery should last a full two years before needing replaced. If it is out of warranty, they will replace it for $25 and provide a new warranty. And from what I have read and my own experience, their turn around time is 3 -4 days. Since anyone who vapes has a backup, I don't see that as a problem. And the cost is about the same as replacing a set of AW 18650 batteries and actually less than replacing the new AW 18650 protected batteries which run about $20 each or $40 for two.
