VV passthrough not working

I just got mine and I plugged it in it seems to work on all three lights till I put a carto into it then it just flashes 3 times blue when I press the button like the battery is dead or something. I tried the ce2 and the sapphire bud and both cartos do the same thing. Anything I can try to do to fix before I send it in?

When you hold the button does the LED come on? For my Sapphires and traditional cartos I often have to pull the center pin downward to make contact

What are you using to power it?

It's plugged onto the wall. Ya when you hold the button with no cart on it it comes on in all 3 voltages, but when you put a cart in it just blinks 3 times blue when you hold the button down and the juice don't sizzle.

Center pin? On cart or PT?

Center pin - raise it a little, seems to go down quite easy, when putting on a new juice holder don't put on too tightly.

Hmm I think I saw that once plugging into a friend's laptop on a USB port that wasn't the 'powered' one. I suspect your wall plug isn't rated high enough, or perhaps it is a faulty unit

I would say it's faulty. The reason is that something is causing the circuit protection to kick in. I would contact gotvapes and ask if you can get it replaced since you've tried different types of carto's on it and getting the same results.

If all 3 lights flash it resets back to default settings.

It could happen for 2 reasons, sometimes it happens with LR attys/carts or not enough power.

Take out your wall adapter and read the label, if it says output is 500mA or even 1A is not enough, you need one with 2Amps or higher.
Use your PC instead it may provide enough power but even if it wont it will be better then wall adapter at 500mA.

It is intended to be used with a fully and directly powered USB port on your system and this may be the issue. Also do lift the pin in it a bit...we contacted the manufacture to try to get a longer pin in to the assembly...

I just got one of these and mine is doing the same thing to me. I've plugged it into every USB port on every computer in my house (I work in the computer industry). I've used every cart and atty I have. I've pulled the center pin up pushed it down. It just keeps blinking 3 times. Not real happy with this product.

Would someone mind explaining exactly how to pull the pin up on these? I'm trying to do it with some fine point tweezers but I can't get them to grip so they just slip off the pin when I pull. Is there a trick to this?

I've always done it on the carto, not the PT, FWIW

Use small screwdriver and lift the pin slowly...
