For any of you who have not experienced VV........ You will be AMAZED!!!!!!!! For those of you who have attys and/or cartos put away, that you just couldn't get satisfaction from and/or those you have no idea what they are or where you got them, you'll be able to put them back into use.
A little background ....... Early 2011 I purchased a beautiful new ProVari. I never used it for several reasons, a few being that I was very swamped (as usual) and didn't want to take the time to learn using it, I hadn't yet found a tank that I found easy and messless to use (REOs spoil you to using only feeders), REOs provide the most hassle free vaping experience possible, REOs travel around and sit solidly on most surfaces, etc. So, after months of no use, I traded my unused Provari for a REO (certainly not my first REO). So.............. being so excited about the marraige between the nearly perfect Notcigs VV chip and the one with the safest technology for VV vaping, using stacked batteries, my developing increasing impatience for a VV REO (it's Robert's fault!!!!!), and being weak, I ordered a Notcigs Buzz Pro. This is the safest, most user friendly, most comfortable to use (lighter than Provari) VV tube mod that has the same VV chip that Robert is using in the VV REOs.
I started using it last night with two different carto tanks; the M1A1 and hand blown glass tanks from Notcigs. Dispite the fact that my respiratory system is still quite delicate from the Flu I am still recovering from so I can't inhale much and my ability to taste much flavor is only beginning to function the ability to control the vape is AMAZING!!!!!!! And it is just so easy to control!!!!!
For those of us who have found our sweet spot with our non VV REOs using 3.7v, 5v, 6v we might not think we would get good use out of a VV REO. My experience is that there are enough variations in attys and cartos, even the same brand, lot group, and ohm range, that the VV can overcome most of those variations to turn an otherwise almost perfect vape into the PERFECT VAPE.
For those who haven't found their sweet spot or are new to vaping or who want to sample different attys/cartos, the VV will virtually eliminate the frequently long road to finding a "sweet spot" with just about any atty or carto on hand or purchased.
Currently my throat and lungs are in such a fragile, irritated condition my ability to inhale varies from only being able to pull vapor into my mouth without letting it touch my throat to light inhalation to throat only, to light inhalation to lungs. This varies on what medicine I have taken and how well it is working, that includes ingested meds, syrup cough/expectorants, throat lozenges and the degree of expectorant, cough suppressant, throat desensitization, etc., each has. Using the VV to change the vape, in slight increments of voltage variation, helps me to adjust the vape to my constantly changing respiratory condition. For instance, when, all of a sudden my throat and/or lungs reject the vapor with a coughing "fit" I can lower the voltage to be able to tolerate the vapor. Once one or more meds take affect the lowered voltage makes the vapor seem too "weak" so a small adjustment to higher voltage fixes it back to a "stronger" vape.
Since last night, due to my changing throat/lung conditions, I have vaped the same juice/carto, a 2.7 ohm IKV 510, from 3.4 volts up to ~5.5 volts. (Taste I can't comment on, at this time as my ability to taste is just beginning to come back. I'm vaping FSUSA 100% VG Butterscotch, 1/2 of mix, mixed with 50/50 PG/VG Applewood, 1/2 of mix. I can only detect a slight sweetness and a very slight bit of butterscotch, with my suppressed tasting functions.) But I'm able to vape again increasing/decreasing the strength of the vapor as needed. When I'm able to inhale the lowest voltage, for use when I can't inhale, doesn't give the satisfaction or flavor that I want so I just increase the voltage, with slight turning of adjustment wheel, till the satisfying feel and flavor are reached. When my throat starts rejecting the vapor I reverse the process and lower the voltage until I can tolerate the vapor without having a coughing fit (and then I take some more cough suppressent/throat soothing meds).
With experience one can achieve nearly the same thing switching out juices and or atty/cartos and voltages but for those who have little experience doing this, without many months of using different juices/nic levels/atty/carto combinations, it might not be possible to do the adjustment in a short time; and for some people it may be nearly impossible to even do.
The VV REO will make this possible for virtually ALL!!!!!!
I'm mainly discussing throat hit here but I have just enough ability to taste I know the VV REO is going to be as valuable for taste of juices, too.
On the mend Feisty Alice
BTW.... I probably won't sell the Buzz Pro, when the VV REOs are released, as the funky, hand blown tanks are just so much fun. Although I still have three tube PVs and now four, with the arrival of the Buzz Pro, I've only used, for over a year now, one tube mod, the Roughstack and I've only used it because I don't want to carry any of my REOs out to the woods to work. At the moment it is "lost" but I think it is in the house instead of lost in the woods. I have the Roughstack only because it is a tough little bugger, although it is not mechanical so subject to damage from water and juice leaks, but it is cheap to replace and I wouldn't and haven't "lost it if I lose it." Or if it gets banged up. You can, also, easily replace the circuit board. I haven't had to do that but I did purchase an extra board.
After using and carrying REOs, for over a year and a half, there is no other PV that I would even consider using as my main PV. For sure the tube mods don't travel around and about as well as any REO, metal or WOOD. No mod or conventional PV, I've ever used, and there have been quite a few, can even begin measure up to the toughness of any REO.
Using a feeder ruins the experience of using only a carto. But using a tank, on a battery or tube mod, is very impractical for moving about, carrying in pockets, or using/carrying while doing most activities. When I am working in the woods for a few hours and don't have a REO, which is almost always the case, and use the tough tube mod I have to carry extra batteries and even worse a bottle of juice to top up the carto. After using a feeder using a carto only, without constant topping up is a major drag.
For those of you considering getting a Buzz Pro, keep in mind that you can sell them for a decent price. Don't expect the value retention of a REO but do consider that the $20 or so you won't make back as rental and a tool to hold you over till you get your MOST EXCELLENT VV REO.
