Drove to my mechanic's an hour away yesterday- got home and no VVG in sight...it has a trippy tip, 2 18350 batteries in it and an RBA atty set up with SS mesh wick and coil at 2.2ohms...It is black with copper vein door- a thing of beauty- if anyone see it, it is missing and I need it back!!!

Well, to save you all the trouble of looking, my mechanic called last night and he found it on his work bench (I'm relieved because I was going crazy- thinking of the parts store I stopped at- the toilet I used etc. on my way home)- But I had set it down while checking his handiwork. I had another Reo I was also vaping on- there lies my problem. I don't need to carry so many with me when I'm out and about- I lose track of them. Anyway, I either make a trip to see him again to retrieve my Reo or I get him to package it and send it to me. Geeeeee!!

Yeah, I'm glad it's found...now my problem is I don't have time to go retrieve it.
There is hope- someone who is a friend of a friend drives from that town to mine everyday- trying to setup an meeting between the two of them so my mechanic doesn't have to ship it. I'm hoping it works out. I go to Japan in 10 days...I need my VVG Reo back before then- I'm planning a trip to Tokyo for her!

When you all mention auto feed, is there a specific wick setup that promotes this?

My vv grand w/Reomizer is finally blowing clouds. I find myself squeezing the bottle hard though, to get fluid to the small wick....still using the coil & wick that was pre-installed, but I have pushed the coil as close to the juice hole as possible.

Do I need a longer wick to get the auto feed going?

Love my reomizer!

As for squeezing the bottle harder, maybe you're not squeezing long enough. I found with a half full or less bottle my squonk time has to increase. I squeeze for about 3-5 seconds and always know it goes when I look through the hole of the door and see the air bubble coming back down the tube. Then I know I've gotten a good squonk.

Something else to consider about a wick on a reomizer - this works for me - I use cotton embroidery thread. I make sure I have enough to have a "tail" - one strand of the thread- that I can usually loop between the coil and hole to sop up juice. I wrap coils first, then wick them. The tail is just a single strand of the embroidery thread that is a little longer. After I run the wick through with kanthal folded in half for a needle, I use that same kanthal needle to pull the tail between the bottom the coil and hole where the juice feeds. It keeps everything wet and not sloppy.

Just tried that squonking method you mentioned - worked awesome. I never thought to hold down on the bottle longer, i usually just press harder. I will now begin to implement the Catastrophic Squonking Technique. I have mastered the blind squonk, but with my soon to be in use hornet, I hear that you can't really blind squonk. Thanks Cat!

Ha! How did I miss this? I'm glad you found it helpful. Love the name - although I know others have mentioned squeezing the bottle longer, perhaps Rhapsodies mentioned it. So I can't really take credit.

Cat,great idea.

Cool! It also ensures that your coil isn't too low to touch the metal underneath. :)

edited to add: "It" refers to having a tail of wick long enough to run under the coil.

Being without my VV Grand for a few days was painful. It has become my daily carry mod. I finally sent it in for the button upgrade. I thought I'd miss the recessed button. I don't. Sure, I had a couple of Woodvils to vape on, but they're my relaxing-at-home or long-road-trip Reos. The VV Grand has me spoiled. Rob has said he's working on a new Reo that will be metal and, well,... a new model. I don't blame him for keeping his designs to himself till he's ready to sell it. (Hi China!) I'm sure I'll want one. Hell, I'm sure I'll buy one. Still, he's gonna be hard pressed to top the VV Grand.

So, if you're seriously considering buying a VV Grand, I strongly advise you to buy at least TWO.
