Oh MAN! A rebuildable REO brand atty?!? I think I'd rather see that than a VW, 18650 holding, side swoop cut REO! I'd no longer ever have to fear an FDApocalypse with a rebuildable atty. Regarding time, maybe if we all pull together to help you sell some more mods, you could take on an apprentice/helper, or better yet, an unpaid intern.

Something like this Dave. This is just a rough prototype and far from a finished product . I was just messing around tonight .It does work air flow needs tweaking . I am making no promises but when I have the time if someone doesn't beat me to it I will make rebuild able atomizer for us.I had hoped someone would do it because I really don't have the time

It's a winning concept, Rob. Hopefully you'll make so much money off your excellent mods that you can afford to buy robot monkey butlers, and have them produce your rebuildables while you sip lemonade on a faraway beach somewhere. I hope to be contributing to your robot monkey butler fund shortly!

Porky digits look to be pretty dexterous and might be more suitable for assembling small parts on rebuildable attys. And they've already taken up residence around Johnny's Mod Shack.

Not to discount robot monkey butlers, though. I could use one of those, myself.

From what I've read, rebuilding a rebuildable is just a matter of making a wick (either from silica rope or stainless mesh), wrapping it a few times with nichrome or kanthal wire, oxidizing the whole thing (read: burn it with a lighter), then attaching the ends of the coil to the posts. Small work, but not complicated.

Well, I had the Odysseus. It took me about 2-3 minutes maybe to make the atomizer. Cut the wick, made the coil to what ohm I wanted it, then wrapped the coil around the wick. Just have to make sure the coil is not touching each other. It was really simple. I made anywhere between .8-2.3 ohm atties.

Just a note...If you heat the wire with a light first it will make the wire more flexible and sterile it at the same time. I think it even hardens it.

There are some really good youtube videos showing exactly how to do it. I even thought it looked pretty easy.

If not then cheap to repair for sure but a bit of a hassle. If the FDA pulls the plug I think we will get some kind of notice and like an true good survivalist I'll buy a ton of attys and keep them with my stash of water, food and automatic weapons in my underground bunker.

You should be stocking up now before the rush and before everything is sold out. I have enough nic juice, flavoring, & cartos to last me years and a rebuildable atty that I'm not very happy with so I'm looking for another. I plan on being prepared for the worst and be stocked up BEFORE it happens.
