Robert, Jen has checked in for us. Thanks, Jen. We are fine. Hardly any wind here but did get over an inch rain in less than an hour. Mean ol Mother Nature was certainly busy just east and just west of us when the tornadoes touched down. First map I saw on TV, with all the warning and watch blocks, we were in a small wedge outside of warning/watch blocks all around us.

Robert, all REOs eventually made it to the safe "room" but no room in the safe.

Electricity back on wee hours of a.m. Jen I did some lentils and shredded cheddar in microwave. Big glass of milk. (Maybe that's one of the reasons my stomach was "cranky" today.)

Yesterday was much more exhausting than I realized. Woke up at 0830 with big plans for the day but stomach wasn't happy and had to take a long afternoon nap.

It is amazing that no deaths reported and very few serious injuries. Most pets accounted for. One woman lost an older turtle. Her neighborhood is one that they are not allowing any residents back into. She has a young turtle that needs feeding. They are letting people back in, to that neighborhood, with supervisions, only to retrieve medications. Same neighborhood several people stayed in their houses overnight but when they left they couldn't get back in.

One neighborhood a woman started, immediately after tornado hit, walking the streets gathering up pictures and drying them, for people she doesn't even know. She plans to keep it up for as long as she has access.

DH is concerned about whether his flight will go out of DFW tomorrow. There were and are hundreds of flights cancelled because of hail damage to planes. Notice could be as late as after plane is boarded. It's not as bad for him as for the patients and clinic. But all patients are on notice.

I'm so thankful that all our REOnauts and loved ones escaped without damage and for the millions of people in the Metroplex who were spared their lives.

Thankful, Feisty Alice

So we are gonna have a toe amputation party?

Thankfully, no one used the most common phrase heard around my buddies when we are talking about what we'd give for something we REALLY want BAD!!! (It has to do with forfitting a left testicle to obtain an item...)

If they are already posted I will immediately throw myself in the dirt.

Yes I know you are an Angel!
You better find a soft dirt pile . This one is on Wayne we have a new chop saw in the shop he went to trim the bottom side of the mod and took to much the saw has some kick to it compared to the old saw he is use to . He didn't even notice it but I did .What a shame it was a beauty of a mod. He is to big to spank not much I could do about it .
