These are really gorgeous Rob. Did you soak them in tung oil first and they spray them with polyurethane to get that high gloss?
I use tung oil polyurethane and lacquer depending on the wood type .My favorite would be poly but not all woods will take poly. ebony rose wood cocoboo and a few others I use wont take poly. Cocobolo I will only use tung oil no poly or lacquer. finishing is a art in itself I am always trying new methods but this run I went back to what I no works well.I didn't spray the poly I do spray the lacquer.Some of these mods have 5 coats of poly very time consuming but worth it when they come out right

I can appreciate the time that goes into finishing these woods. Most people don't realize how many coats of finish it takes to get a nice smooth finish that makes the grain stand out. I'm curious how you apply the poly. Do you brush it on or wipe it on with a cloth?

Your correct most people don't realize they just want it lol
If it was easy everyone would do it. I will pm you on the details .For me finishing has been all trial & era you learn what works and what doesn't .I consider myself a novice in the field of finishing much to learn.

There are two that have already told him they want 801 but you probably know that. BTW.... I'm vaping a short IKV LR 801 that may be too loose. I'll put it in with the others if it doesn't tighten up in a day or so. I'm using 100% VG, too. If I don't it is messy.

I haven't tried the ones you gave me. Hopefully soon. Have you tried the long IKV LR yet?

Alice, save those attys I gave you for a VV Woodvil. They need a bit more voltage if you're partial to LR attys at 3.7 volts, like me.

The IKV 801's you gave me are standard resistance, so they're on stand-by for my VV Woodvil. I imagine they'll sing. :)

Ordered nic and a couple of flavors today. My first DIY attempts will be mostly VG. The PG will come from the flavoring and the nic.

They are absolutely beautiful!! I so can not wait to get hold of one. I've gotten so sick to death of fiddling with tanks that I'm actually squonking on my grand and then slapping the carto on my tube mod to get a 4.5v hit. Vape it dry, back on the grand for a refill, then back on the tube mod:facepalm:. It will be so much simpler to only have to use one mod for vv from now on.

Don't, then, go get tempted by the Phiniac Tanks. If you do you might never get rid of the last remaining tube mods. Of course nothing can compare to the ease and durability of the REOs And the magnificent build and beauty but the tanks are fun. AND I haven't yet gotten the perfect vape from a good carto, in a tank, even on VV, that I get virtually all the time with the non-VV REOs.

I traded my brand new GGTS (never used but it sat here for months) with two tanks for two REOs and my brand new ProVari (never used and it sat here for months) for an exceptional Woodvil. I did pick up a Buzz Pro, same chip as in the VV REOs, because I just couldn't stand the wait.

Counting the days folks.......... 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 oh, the agony of the wait.
