Hey, all. My question is for the multiple REO owners....

I know that you need to sign for delivery of your REO and since I never get home from work in time to get to the post office, I am wondering how to get my REO once it is delivered. Can your spouse pick up and sign for the package even if it has my name on the label? I just need to know if I have to take the whole day off just to receive my REO. Also, I live in a condo complex which has a bank of mailboxes so will the mail carrier actually come to my door or will he simply leave a note in my mailbox saying I have a package at the post office?

They would come to the door...if you don't answer, they would most likely leave the slip in your box. If your wife is there when it arrives, she can sign for it. If she goes to the PO with the slip, she can sign for it there. She may have to provide ID.

In Canada if an item is sent to the closest post office for pickup, anyone with ID that matches the address on the package can pick it up.

I'm sure it's similar in the US.

I couldn't imagine waiting all this time, then actually getting lucky enough to order one, then watching its movement from Maine to Florida, then having it sit at the post office.

That may kill me.

I will make sure someone is there to sign for it. Assuming I get lucky on sale night.

Could be worse. If my packages are too big to fit in the mail slot in our door (live in an apartment) the postal worker doesn't even bring up the package or attempt delivery. I have to wait till the next day to get a "delivery failed" notification card.

Go to the post office when the time is near. Tell them you have an item coming from Reosmods. They will let you sign the slip and will put it in your carrier's box so he will be aware to deliver it.
