Wow very close. :thumb:

As far as age I hope to live to 77. :)

If I can be independent and still have part of my mind left 77 would be okay. I'm used to hurting so maybe it won't get too much worse. DH is so very, very, very bummed he can't play Flamenco any more because of his arthritis. For him it's all or nothing (except listening, watching, audio, video, or in person.)

Hugs, Alice

I'm not sure if Robert got the Red Stabilized from your guy or not. There were a few in the release sale of 18490s. I didn't have to fight over it because I SOed an 801. It has a spectrum of reds in it going all the way to buffy purple. I haven't put "The Most Beautiful Donut Trippy Tip in the World," that Bill surprised me with, on it yet. I hope it will be a match "made in heaven." If not there are Red and Purple REOs screaming for it. In some light the main color of "The Most Beautiful Donut Trippy Tip in the World" is purple but in other lighting the purple turns to a deep Red!!!!!!

BTW..... my donut craving and envy has been almost eliminated by "Most Beautiful Donut Trippy Tip in the World." Life is nearly "complete."

Actually Gil I am finding I don't mind the stabilized wood. I don't care for milling it the dust scares me a little . I think I got a handle on finishing the stuff I will have to build more

I love my Zebra wood Woodvil and Black Palm Mini Woodvil- I love the natural wood grains and textures. I know you guys love your colored woods (some of you- I won't name names, but Karen....and now it seems Della...) loves any wood , but I just love the el- naturalle!! Oh, as long as it's a Reo!!!

Yeah I'd say you do have a handle on it. No one would argue with that after seeing both videos. My....Ed's Nebula didn't look that good new.

Actually I am quite picky with my wood. And my faves so far are my Cocobolo 18490 with no finish and my Ebony 18650 with no finish. :)
And I have seen, felt and vaped a stabilized....beautiful, but I personally prefer all natural wood.

Hmmmm. My taste in wood, uh, well, I like wood that is wood. Um. I like the grain, the patterns, the feel. Some of my REO's have a more natural feel. Some have a high gloss. Robert says my taste in wood is different. I must agree. Stabilized wood, well I have one. But really don't plan on more. I like to feel that grain. I like Natural wood colors.

I still have yet to vape on a wood REO, but I love wood grains, colors, and knowing it came from the earth. I couldn't see myself getting a stabilized REO, although when I first saw that orange and blue stabilized one from the first finished pics, I said WAR EAGLE! I have an entire 150 year old American black walnut tree milled out and drying in the barn at our family farm. It is BEAUTIFUL stuff. It is kind of rough milled, not planed or anything, but once I took a block planer to a piece of it, oooh... its purdy. I have to cut up the stump with the chainsaw and see whats inside, I hear that black walnut stump is the best of all. It has a nice burl to it as well in some areas of the tree. It kind of looks more like Claro than American, but that wouldn't make much sense. Some of that tree may find its way to maine one day:laugh:

I love the look and warmth from real plain wood too. My home is full of it. Lots of oak, teak and mahogany. You do know stabililized wood is from earth too and not from an alien planet...right?

Wait I thought it was from planet stabil in the nebula galaxy  discovered by tesla in the early 1900s  :pervy:

-Sam

Actually even tho I have a stabilized copy block of the Nebula in Maine now waiting for the next go round of wood shucking I will be in on sale night to help Pietro get one of his fav VVs. As a result a possible senerio might have me ending up with one too. Should that happen I will be either selling it to him should he want a 2nd or end up selling/trading to someone else for a regular wood Woodvil (not stabilized). :)
