One suggestion, if during checkout you get the internal server errors, hit F5 and allow for information to be sent once more. You don't need to go all the way back. Maybe everyone knows it, maybe it'll help someone.

Dont' keep hitting F5 while it's loading.. just sit back and watch while it loads.. if I can get through anyone can. If it's not loading then hit f5 but don't hit while it's loading!

+1000000, unnecessary refreshing just adds to the server load and refreshing while it's actually loading can sabotage your efforts and just bring you back to another error!
Hmmm what happens is that I am getting an immediate server error when I refresh. It is not even spinning up for any time at all.
