Lisa, am I missing something? Why would someone want to Kick a vv mod in the first place? *scratching my head*

I don't know, really...but I have been asked several times if it can be done. So I just wanted to make sure that it was clearly stated. I would feel terrible if someone didn't get the message and ruined one or both devices.

****Taking very very good care of Teak**** It scares me that I have such a prized possession. The fear is a good thing. It looks a little fragile where the tube connects on the inside of the REO...that makes me nervous.

Oh please, please don't be nervous. Let TEAK sooth that away. You aren't going to break it and if something weird should happen Rob can make it brand spanking new again, but that's not going to happen. Please relax and enjoy.

And just to let you know, I only cringe a little bit when DH is carrying a stack of my precious, hand made, no longer made, pottery, balancing the tippy stack, ....................... and he ignores my request to take the fork out from under a piece, so the stack won't be too wobbly, and then CRASH!!!!!! I long ago let go of using too much energy being afraid of something happening to inanimate objects or too much worrying about just about anything else. Heck, John Lennon stubbed out a cigarette on a Picasso, at the Playboy Mansion. Hef, took it in stride after a while and it was John Lennon. I understand people being nervous about something that belongs to someone else, and it is not uncommon for caring people to have those feelings. For many decades hoards of Bubs have let me put my possessions in their kennel. I'm used to things getting broken, chewed, destroyed. But I will say, I'm much more forgiving of accidents than outright wanton carelessness when one knows better. And I do truly KNOW that you are taking good care of TEAK. The only thing I don't care for is that your enjoyment is being hampered by your nervousness. RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's an order. It's at less risk than at the Bub's "kennel." (In my early days the Bubs did steal a few REOs but didn't chew them up or hide them so well I couldn't find them. I'm a quick study so it hasn't happened in a long time.)

DH just brought a toy squonker in from yesterday's get-together before the rally and squonked it. It was for the kids (and quite annoying I might add). The house Bub energy just magnified exponentially!!!!!

That's impressive!

The only thing I don't care for is that your enjoyment is being hampered by your nervousness. RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's an order. You're probably right about the employment part. I need to relax a little. It's got me frantic. Now add to your order that if I don't relax I'll be forced to send Teak back.

And people don't research or ask questions, or even "think" to do so, and some people refuse to follow the simpliest of directions or read directions, and some people are stupid and don't know it, and some people are ignorant and don't know it, and some people are just plain rebellious................. Those who are knowledgeable and just want to see what happens..... well more power to them but don't lay any responsibility on others for results.

I still haven't decided whether to do a "swimming test" on the chip in VV REO. I know, and I do really KNOW, from lots of experience that the REO will be fine. If I do test, it will first be done in distilled water as it has nothing in solution that will lead to enhanced conductivity/shorting other than moisture (like minerals in tap water or chemicals, minerals, metals in spa/pool water). And yes, I will be more than willing to pay Robert to replace the chip if need be. Sooner or later someone is going to drop a VV REO into some liquid.
