I have tried marking my batteries with a "Permanent" Sharpie marker, but it rubbed off fairly quickly just from handling them. I would like to run my batteries in matched pairs for safety and don't know how to tell them apart. Has anyone found something neater that nail polish with its brush applicator to mark on batteries with?
I had a used AW IMR 14500 go nuclear on me in my pocket in the grocery store a few months ago. It got madly hot and was burning me through my pocket on my leg. I took it out of my pocket, burned my hand doing so, and threw it on the floor and then went and alerted the store office so they could remove it immediately and treat it with safety. (I told them it could blow up, which I doubt it would outside of a unvented container), because I wanted them to have the removal person to be extra careful. The battery in question had not acted strangely before it suddenly got so hot in my pocket. I did have a little change in the pocket that it may have come in contact with and it was too hot to touch as well.
Normally, I love and trust AW high drain batteries; however, I just want to be extra careful because I don't want anything to harm my beautiful new vv Woodvil or me either. Hence, I want to run my batteries (both 18350s and 16340s) in matched sets within their respective sizes.
