Yes, they will work. Spider Fire are cheap batteries and I don't know what brand of RCR123a batteries you have on hand.

The VV Reo deserves premium batteries, in my opinion. AW is the recommended battery because AW has a reputation for very good and consistent QC on the batteries they sell. AW doesn't manufacture them, but it's my understanding that they do test them and weed out the lesser performing batteries before applying their heat shrink and label and offering them for sale.

Thanks for the Info. I just have so many of them that I hate to see them go to waste. I will buy A W and save these for emergencies.

I'd tend to stay with the recommended good 3.6 or 3.7v nominal icr protected or imr batteries.

Stacked battery vv is an electronic pv. In a pinch you can use properly protected or imr 3 - 3.2v, with bad run time, but it is overall not good to mess with the batteries. A lot of the second tier 3.6/3.7 batteries also have really bad delivered mAh.

(I've used that vv set since it first came out last July. A lot of work went into finding good batteries to use.)

Now I sort of wish I hadn't decided to wax the mod. I have a tiny little sliver buried deep in the traffic finger on my right hand gained from the button side dove tail. I'm going to have to dig that out of there with a knife.

On the bright side, a bandaid makes my finger more visible to other drivers.

Got my bottle of Howard's today after work at Home Depot for $7.99.

Once my two VVW come out of their coffee coffin, i will get the insides looking good.

Thanks, all, for the tips on keeping these looking great!

Funny jif I would've taken you for a Lowes kinda guy:lol:

I will always go to Lowes before I venture to the Depot!
Wasn't there a thread somewhere about Lowes having a corporate anti-vape policy of some sort? (Just trying to remember, I shop at both depending on what I need... they each have strong and weak points when it comes to what brand of tools, etc. they carry. Lowes has better cordless drills, HD has better shop vacs, blah blah... Amazon usually smokes them both...)

Yep, there was a thread. Also can find by google. Lowe's doesn't want you vaping anywhere on their property.

Almost every time I pass by Lowe's (it's on the way to Fry's Electronics here in Phx) I swing through the lot and do a drive-by vape. TAKE THAT CORPORATE FASCISTS!

That's funny... I don't think its a great idea to vape in the face of the rules...but in this instance where smoking is allowed on their property, I always vape while on their grounds. Not inside, mind you...but I always vape in the parking lot. :glare:

I wasn't a jerk about smoking when I was a smoker - I didn't smoke inside if it wasn't allowed - but I draw the line at outside smoking bans. It's OUTSIDE. If you can't handle being 10 feet away from a smoker outside, natural selection is your enemy - not smoking.

I will always defy an outdoor vaping ban.

I originally took that picture as my submission into some kind of "vaping in public" contest here on ECF about a year ago.
i thought i had a good shot at winning but some.chick vaping in a pedicure chair won. It was a good picture, i agree.
i made this one my avatar to appease my rebellious side. :)

I have wanted to change it many times (like when i got my two VVW), but i figure its how people know me.
