Thanks. Will have to go buy a cheap pair of nylons. Thats gonna look weird.

So loving that everyone is loving their VV Woodvils. Still happy to report that our Curly Oak, that self fired, at first, and then stopped, still hasn't exhibited the action any more. I'm using it for one more week and then I'll turn it over to DH. (I'm gonna have him carry his travel Silver Mini, as backup, in carry-on, for weekly out of town work, for just in case. You'd never catch me leaving town without a backup!!!)

Morning Fine REO Folk. You can use small sections of the panty hose filled with coffee or baking soda to stuff into any stinky shoes you might have. In the past I had loads of support type panty hose, for work, that were a tighter weave. I filled them with baking soda and stuffed them into all leather shoes. Little ball, tied on each end, about 2" diameter.

Even if the leather shoes aren't stinky baking soda balls help to keep down any changes to leather from moisture, after use, or ambient humidity. I'm pretty OCD about leather so leather shoes don't get worn two days in a row, get shoe dryers put in them after a long day, and baking soda balls, stuffed into toes, for short and long term storage. And yeah, they all get a leather conditioner applied, before wearing for first time.

Anyway, there are all kinds of uses for the panty hose and the coffee. Put some coffee, in open container of your choosing, and it works even better than baking soda for keeping odors at bay in fridge.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

BTW.... guys.... lots of us "girls" have had male partners pick up emergency panty hose for us. It's no big deal.

Does the Feed & Wax help with the moisture content of the wood? And is it good to use for any wood type? - The climate I live in might be too dry. My door has begun to warp.

It will help a lot! Read what the site says. I use it on all types of woods.

All wood benefits from feeding especially if it is bare wood. And in extreme conditions, high humidity to very low humidity it helps to keep the wood stabilized. Howard's and others like it are extremely beneficial for anything wood. I use it on the bare wood of all furniture and cabinets. (The Stabilized Woods will even soak up the Howard's on inside of Woodvils.)

I'm glad yours quit too! I haven't had any more self firing out of mine either since it did it on the first day. :)

And a hug for you too! Thanks!

I find the $8 bottle on the shelf at home depot. I'll dig back in to the old thread for the instructions when I get home and get it taken care of. -- And yeah, low humidity. You have to drive to the South Dakota Badlands or down to the desert in Utah or Arizona to find lower humidity that my area of Montana.

Funny how some wood REOs have a smell of the finish..some strong some not so much and some not at all. It been a long time since I had natural wood and can remember only once detecting an oder and never with my stabilized REOs. Im not questioning anyone just find it odd.

Yeah, i am not sure if its the wood or the finish, but there is a smell. Not a bad one, but like someone mentioned a few days ago, i can "taste/smell the odor" along with my Boba and so i figured why not try the proven method of coffee.

I will use my Grand for all of tomorrow and bust the Woodvils out of their coffee on Wednesday morning.

Off to watch Howard Stern on AGT.......

ok some of you know Rob sent me a prototype VV and i must say the only thing to improve this mod is a rebuildable atty like Clyde has.the batteries last a good day and the vapor is of course what we expect from a reo i use carts now cause of ease so i put a boge 2.0 on it @4.5v and it was sweet as hell i plan on trying a super shorty 2.5 @ 5.0v im sure it will be great im not real good at reviews cause i cant remember everything to say LOL so if your thinking you want one i would say go for it you wont be disapointed plus you will have a beautiful wood also.

quess it depends on how sensetive your nose is if you smell it or not and personal taste if you like it or not. and people with allergish and/or just being senetive in general may be more or less botherd by it.

even more so, how long the finish had time to dry. even tho paint is dry to the touch in a couple of hours, it does take weeks to really harden out and all the solvents are vaporized out of it. having your nose close to it and breathing while you take a vape you will breath in those solvents, they may not bother you smell wise but they can make you feel a bit off if you chainvape and/or keep it close to your face all the time.
