Coupled with the fact you had one mistaken for a wallet once, I wouldn't want to take mine out either. :)

I'm not too hard on my REOs, so my Wood 18490s go with me everywhere, I don't have a VV just cause I am the type to set and never change it and these give me my perfect flavor and vape. If I was prone to dropping or scratching them up, I would get a case or something. I use them all the time now.

I'm finding that I don't much care for the poly finish. DW has a poly & non-poly 18490 and I really like the feel of the wood on that one.

That makes sense to me for natural wood but I wouldn't have anything but poly for stabilized wood. There no really feeling the grain/wood on stabilized wood like natural anyway and the glossy poly finish shines like no other and brings out the color imo.

You take them outside the house :shock::shock::shock::shock:too scary for me:laugh:

 yeah, thought i would too, but we don't want to be long without them, so we package them up very good into a bag and put our mini's in our pocket for the quick fix. when we sit down for a break they come out and have a great vape :D didn't bring them to the beach today, coz i don't want the risk of sand in them, so only the mini's went with us to the beach coz i can simply rinse them in water, witch wasn't nessary tho :D

How do we know what finish is on our mod? I have rosewood and bubinga 1.

My Bubinga has the poly coat. Unless Robert stated it was a different coat on the VV Woodvils or Woodvils it was poly.

On the Woodvil 18490 Robert did a different type coating. He went back to poly.

I don't doubt that at all. I know my Tesla was poly for sure because he told me he had that finish down pat since he made my Nebula and I shouldn't worry. I only thought he may have used another finish for natural wood REOs because I remember someone said theirs had a oil finish.

My VV W is on his way to see you Rob. He was home sick.

I had a finish question as well. I have ebony 2 18490. Finish seems scratched up. Kinda Prefer the finish on my mini woodville ebony think this one had a coating on it? Is that something I could send it to you to refinish?

My wife's 18490 must have had a special glue finish. She won't put it down.

Hahahaha. Good one. I wish i could get my wife to use a mod. She is still fully content with her Bloog 808. I guess its good that only one of us spends a fortune on vape gear though. :)

VV Curly Oak did his first air travel this a.m. with DH. In another hour or so they should be sharing a Bloody Mary (with DH dreaming on that a foxy senorita was "relaxing" with them, too);). Silver Travel Mini went along for just-in-case.

DH's VVW now has an official name.... "Curly."

After the short episode of self-firing and not sending him back to REO Spa, Curly has been behaving with good manners for a couple of weeks. For DH Curly spent a few days in coffee and came out smelling like ros.. coffee, for only a few minutes, after I blew all the coffee dust off. I put him upright in a few inches of ground coffee, bottom half and all of door buried, in a tall enough container, with empty bottle on, catch cup covered with self stick plastic wrap, and vv chip area taped up with painter tape. BTW... this is not the first time I've "coffeed" Wood REOs so I know it works.

Handed him over to DH last night with a Boge 2.0 carto on (and extras - extra Pawn DT, too, as he broke one, last week, and had to stove-pipe because he didn't have an extra). We've reduced DH's nic mg down from 18 to near 12, in past week, and he liked the ability to adjust for the TH he wants. Of course he really, really loves the button for his old hands. And he was thrilled to have a WOOD "hand therapy unit" in his grasp, again.

DH did have some issues with feeling the adjustment wheel so I'll mark the wheel with some model paint (this girlie doesn't "do" nail polish) when he comes home Sat night. The on/off switch is so easy to move he wasn't sure he had turned it off when he was got out of car and loaded Curly in his carry on. He'll get used to everything but he was happy that the on/off switch was so easy to operate.

He carries a TR-001 so he'll be able to charge the 14500 and 18350 but I assured him that he probably would return home with the same batteries still going strong and not even need to pull out the extras. (We like to plan for emergencies especially traveling. He was in Toronto for 9-11 and stuck in a Hotel for several days due to grounded flights. Way too far to take ground travel. Hotel gave deep discounts for rates and room service but DH got tired of Hotel food. So he found a grocery, in walking distance, for peanut butter and jelly.)

So loving our VV WOOD Boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs, Feisty Alice
