Coupled with the fact you had one mistaken for a wallet once, I wouldn't want to take mine out either. :)

I guess we live "dangerously." All of our WOOD REOs are allowed outings all the time.

Now, THAT'S a nice looking table of treats!

Whats the deal with that inverted Corona bottle? Whats that drink called?

That would be the 'Mexican Bulldog' get a Margarita and stick a Corona in it. It feeds into the drink slowly as you drink it, I don't know how it works, but it'll get cha tight! Guess it's a Texas thing. It really seems to have started catching on.

Alice called it a beergarita! Google led me to sites that explained it very well!

Around these parts it's called Beer-rita. Actually, I've had to pull the bottle up some to get the last half of beer out. It's plunged into a frozen margarita. It's a small Carona bottle. I don't normally do frozen drinks but this has become my favorite. I've only had them outside in 80-90F temps so I have to drink them pretty fast.:D I, also, don't like drinking with a straw but first half of Beer-rita is best with a straw so you get just the right mix. After the frozen margarita thaws it doesn't matter.

The red drink on right is Bloody Beer. Your beer of choice. Start glass with two wedges of lime, smush them well, then pour in beer then tomato juice or was it the other way around???? It was okay but the Beer-rita was the definite winner.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

We have started a tradition that DH and I are LOVING!!!!!! His flights come in earlier, on Saturdays now and we have started stopping at The Oasis, floating restaurant on Joe Pool Lake, that is on our way home (and not far away from the back of our property but even a Crazy Feisty Alice can't navigate the "jungle," in summer to get there. Machetes bounce right off the torturous, thorny vines.) Anyway, we arrive at The Oasis at about 1715 and the, to our shock and disbelief, incredible bands don't start till 1930. This coming Sat night the David Whiteman Band is playing. They don't start till 2000. So we're planning on doing some Shirley Temple drinks for a couple of hours. I'm thinking Margarita on the rocks, sans alcohol, with Corona to make a faux Beer-rita to cut the alcohol down a bit............... for a while. I'm even gonna ask if they have 3.2 or lower beer. Or may take a Mango-Peach MIO and make a low sugar wine cooler with cold water and white wine. That's probably the best idea.

Rounding up as many REO cards as I can find.

 Feisty Alice

There's a cover Sat night for The David Whiteman band but our second favorite server, Kol, BF of our favorite server, Leslie, said we would get there early enough to not only get a table but also not have to pay the cover.

Thanks. Plan on having a GREAT time. We've been doing the Wed $5.95/doz oysters and happy hour every Wed, too. This past Wed the wind was gusting to 45mph so next time we're going to try to get up a little closer to the building so we'll have some wind buffer. In summer they put up huge fans but certainly don't need them right now. Wed real temp was 93 but felt more like 75 because of wind. This is the same wind that blast my house. I can't leave our commercial umbrellas open (fiberglass ribs) till mid June because of wind; not because of harming the umbrellas but because they have to be weighted so heavily and fixed to stands so securely . One fall, during a rain storm, with 70mph sustained winds, the big umbrella, which was still up, came loose from the base and went flying across the deck, slamming into the railing. I couldn't rescue it till the next morning. I saw the whole thing. It raised up and floated over the table for several seconds and then shot across the deck. Pretty amazing. No damage at all.

Hey guys!

Is the spring on your VV-woodvil loose or is it attached to the body some way? Mine's not attached to anything other than the ground wire, just wondering if this is how it's meant to be or something funky going on here. The reo is working flawlessly though, so it's not a bug thing. I'm just wondering about the longevity of a loose spring. Can i attach it with super glue maybe?

My vv Woodvil arrived today and I've been in awe ever since. :)

I've named it Knight...it is my Knight in Shining Armor of pv's plus has the dark ebony body with quilted maple door. Not sure why I deem it necessary to name my REOs since none of my other pv's are name worthy, but it seems a must for my wooden beauties.

I filled it with some Boba's Bounty and put a Boge 3ohm carto on it; it's a vaping dream. I've never had soo much vapor before. Only slight issue I've had is moving the vv dial. My fingers must be too fat. It's not like I'm going to be moving the dial a lot anyway, though. And with chain vaping on this thing all day, I still haven't had to change batts.

Another work of art, Rob! And thanks to the guys who got me hooked up with my dream pv!! Y'all are awesome!

It's my understanding that the non-poly ones said oiled like it said for my Jatoba/Jatoba VV. I also prefer the oiled finish over the the poly finish.

It's a toss up for me. I like the moisture resistance of the poly and, doGness, there certainly are a lot of moisture "happenings" around here. "Swimming" is only a small percentage. VVs are banned from getting within 20 paces of spa or pool.
