At what point will we be able to buy a VV reo? also are there any pics available?

Rob needs to complete the 18490's first. Then he will start on the VV REO's. Please remember he still has to complete the box design for the VV Woodvil.

Best we can hope for is Rob giving a time line. I am sure he will when he has some time. He is also redesigning the Grand and going to offer a VV Grand as well.

No photos yet but I am sure as Rob progresses with the project he will post them.

If I hear of any thing I will keep everyone informed.

Hope that helps.

Well I for one would not be too upset if he had to complete & use my VV REO for pictures or demo.....I guess I good live with that.

I think the VV is being set up to use IMR 16340 batteries. I was wondering why 18350 batteries are not being considered? Here's my thinking. The 16340s have 550 mah vs 700 mah for the 18350s so longer battery life for the 18350s...less battery swaps and charging. THe Reo Woodville and the Grand are already set up for 18 ml batteries so less change would have to be made to the design to accomodate the 16 ml. THey are already set for 18 ml batteries.

To fit the VV electronics the Woodville and the Grand are going to have to be taller with either battery combination to make a VV. I wouldn't mind having the 18350 version 2ml taller than the 16340 version and I wouldn't mind having it 2 ml thicker either. The thickness and width would be the same as the Grand and Woodville are now. The 18350 version would be 2 ml taller than the 16340 version, less than a 1/10th of an inch.

I think the electronics would would be compatible with the 18350s but I am not sure of this. THe mah is higher but I think thats it.

What say you?

Well the 18350s wouldn't have to fit in an 18650 space as the Woodville will have to be changed anyway to accommodate the electronics for the VV. I sure don't know much about any of this stuff so I just thought I would throw this into the mix and see what others thought of this idea.

I agree with you ltrainer. I don't know the whole story, but the mah difference between the 16340's and the 18350's really does make a difference, and 18350's arn't that much bigger then 16340's. I think for them to fit though in a 18650 spot, they would have to be flat top.

If he is using the same vv chip as the buzz pro 16340s will be fine, I recently acquired a buzz pro from a good friend and even when I go through 3-4ml a day I have NEVER had to swap the batteries out before the next morning when I leave for work(even then the batts are not dead). The only batteries I have used for it have been AW protected 16340s.

Thats good to know. What voltage and ohm attys are you using. I didnt realize that protected batteries could be used but that makes sense since the voltage would be lowered by the electronics. THanks

From what I've read about the Buzz Pro electronics, protected batteries aren't a must. The Powerizer batteries sold by notcigs for the Buzz Pro are advertised as "These are an UN-PROTECTED battery , they are FINE to use in the Buzz Pro or Original Buzz for increased run times , All Notcigs Mods have built in protection for the device AND the battery".

I think that will apply to the VV Reo too, but I'm gonna buy and use whatever battery Rob recommends.

Edit: LOL! Me & MX are sharing some brain waves at the moment.

Thanks Wayne and Tripp,

It so hard for my head to wrap around a 650 mah battery lasting all day as I change out my 18650s several times a day to keep the voltage up. I guess because you are using around 4 or 5 volts on a 7.4 voltage setup that run times can be so much longer with less mah?

Hope you are feeling better Wayne. Turkey in a blender isnt very good.
