My DH (and probably a many others) is going to absolutely love the recessed side button metal but will find the Grand size to be too big to go in his shirt pocket (or two pockets) with all the other stuff. Besides his REO he always carries glasses, a pen light, a pen, his phone, and a slim but long rubber tipped stylus, for his phone. That's just the usual but sometimes more stuff.

Any plans for future metal Mini with the recessed side button?

Hugs and more, Feisty Alice

Here is a prototype vv grand I no it looks rough but it serves its purpose I need prints .The insert is made of wood. The final product will have a black delrin insert .The dial as you can see is just above the positive end of the battery.Slide the door down to adjust your voltage. The button is on the side more like a woodvil but totally recessed .I am ready to have prints made.

It looks to me as though 18xxx series batteries will fit in there. Is the VV Reo as wide and same depth as the Grand?

Alice are you asking if I plan to build a mini vv device .

The batteries that are in the mod are 15270s for testing only .The depth cant be changed the vv chip wont allow me to adjust the depth .I can squeeze the width by 1/16 I am still unsure if I will do it

unsure

I was curious if the question was asked about the 18XXX batt question was because there is some issue or hassle with stacking? I can see the an advantage not having to buy a differnt type batt but stacking is no biggie....again just curious. :)

I asked about the 18xxx batteries with stacking in mind. Would have to stack anyway to get the voltage up. I was just asking becasue the 18xxx would have more mah, thats all.
You will have to educate me on the 18xxx batteries are these a new type of battery? Or is this the diameter your talking about

Give me a couple days at this point I don't have one worked out yet .I have a couple ideas that may work but there just isn't enough room under the insert .I don't think people would use it even if I put one in the mod .

Good point, with the new switch I think it is not need Just my 2c.

I believe they're asking you if two AW IMR 18350's will fit. Here's a picture of one next to a 14500:

They're approximately 1mm taller than the IMR 16340's and probably the same height or even shorter than protected IRC 16340's. :)

That is exactly the answer I am looking for (crossing fingers...)

Yes, those were the batteries I was talking about. Sorry for the confusion.
