Hi all,

I was looking for some answers to a little problem that is baffling me.

When I vape Digby's DMC 80 VG 20 PG 3mg Nic I can vape it quite easily at 30 W but when using Elements Strawberry Whip 80 VG 20 PG I have to vape it at a lower level like 17 W?

Any help and knowledge would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Adam

Just my :2c:

Fruit or fruity type flavors can taste burnt or harsh if too high voltage/wattage is used. I use a lower power setting for fragile fruit flavors.

Tobacco, coffee, or desert flavors can often be vaped at higher voltage/wattage without any harshness or burnt taste.

All flavor classifications taste best at different temperatures. That's the beauty of variable power, to be able to adjust to different flavors and personal preferences.

different flavors respond differently to heat. my TFA black honey tobacco taste best in an orchid V3 ( sub ohm tank) but my other flavors taste better in a 1.8 ohm RTA or BCC. some flavors need a little more heat to taste right.cream and fruit flavors seem to taste better at lower temperatures tobacco flavors seem to like a little higher temperature.there is no holy grail in vaping. different people have different taste.find what you like thru trial and error and don't worry about what others like

Some flavors are made with PGA. It can add a "hot" experience to the vape as well since it vaporizes at a lower temp. Like Maurice said, differnt flavors are better at differnt temps and in differnt devices. Just be glad you have a VW device. We used to have to build a new coil to make things taste better. Lol!

I find the same need to vary W on a couple of my Flavors using the SubBox & ST Mini and .5 OCCs or any VV/VW Variable.
As said above, It Be what It Be.
And,,, That's the "Beauty" of the Variables. As Hans said, on my Mechs and in Days of Old, meant a new RDA/RBA build or having multiple Devices built specifically for a Flavor to get it "Right". Then again, perfect excuse and justification to Gear-Up with multiple Devices in the Armory too.
Ahhh, those lovely "problems" huh. Personally I gave up with excuses and justification and embraced my Equip compulsions & proclivities.

P.s. SX Mini M on the way and wearing myself out trying to choose a new RTA to build Ti on. It's maddening ain't it

I've been vaping Yolo's Ringue (Lemon Meringue Yogurt) on my subtank mini. The flavor is almost good at 17 watts. At 20+ the taste gets lost in the vapor. I did find that by dialing down the airflow (at 16 watts) to the smallest hole and doing mouth-to-lung, it has a LOT of flavor. Just a lot less vapor. It's listed at max VG so I'm pretty sure it is 80+

I still use a mechanical mod but I have different tanks for different flavors.my orchid V3 and kayfun for low resistance builds. my EK V3s for 1.6 ohm builds and my protank 2s for 2.4 ohm builds. this allows me to change flavors thru the day by just changing tanks. my DK bavarian cream and vanilla bean gelato actually give me the most flavor in my low power protanks and loose flavor in higher power tanks.this is a very low tech and reliable approach. but I guess im a little "gadget happy" and like trying different tanks and builds. it is a fun hobby

Ended the Anguish and pulled the trigger on a Lemo 2. No Black version to match the black SX Mini M that arrives tomorrow unfortunately. But, I will either get over it or figure a way to make it match.
C'est La Vie.

However, to appease my OCD and keep this Post in the Thread's context,,,
I also bought another black STM and a 5-pak of Ni200 OCC's :thumb:
