the

coil cotton fluffs out better in the wick grooves in the coil chamber than the Japanese cotton does, so other reasons to consider it. Less chance of flooding.
The fibers in the coil cotton are aligned very well and not as compacted as the ones in the Japanese pads.

It sounds a bit like my reasoning for using my organic cotton ball wicks, though the alignment isn't terrific, it's a little better than just regular "sterile cotton balls". I'm not knocking the japanese cotton or the rayon, they both work very well, but the thin juice I use makes the expensive cotton wayyyyy overkill, and I developed a distaste for the taste of rayon.

Same here I really like the price 3.29 for maybe a years supply is much better than $5 for 3 or 4 of the pads of Japanese cotton that I paid at a local B&M. I do have 80 pads of the KGD coming in the mail though but I like the coily stuff so much better that the wife unit can have the KGD for makeup removal and such.

Muji has some stores in The USA, I'm sure they sell it there . On the muji site its $4 for like 60 pieces. .
Personal Care

Ken gon Doh cotton is available at Sephora, Beautylish.com, Nordstrom, and I have seen it a lot on Ebay for about the same price as Beauty stores. . I would just buy the large pack for $12 rather than pay $3/$4 for just a few sheets of the same thing....

I don't think the cotton balls are safe cuz they aren't meant to be inhaled tru, or ingested.. would it work well, probably its cotton. ..

I know Rite Aid sells Sterelized Cotton Balls, so if want to use something that u can get from a drugstore.

The KGD pads are not intended to be inhaled thru either they are for removing makeup and such cosmetic applications. No reference is made on their packaging for use in Ecigarette use. I know of NO cotton that is labelled by the manufacturer to be used in Ecigs.

Heh, that's exactly what I was thinking -- great minds and all that. :D The taste of the vape is absolutely no different whether I use organic cotton balls, or KGD/Shiseido cotton; the longest one to break in is the KGD, followed by the Shiseido, and those 2 both have to be replaced much sooner than the organic cotton balls. So, organic cotton balls: 1) way cheaper, 2) break-in faster, and 3) last longer. Seems like a no-brainer to me. :D Of course my ejuice is actually liquid, at 84% PG.

yes, ur right, neither cotton was intented to be used for Vaping, but what I meant to say was using Organic Cotton or the Sterile 100% Pure cotton from Rite Aid is better cuz its pure and isn't supposed to have chemicals and crap, since u mentioned the wall greens cotton was whitened with Hydrogen Peroxide.. I would just buy Sterile 100% pure cotton from a drugstore it will be pretty cheap too also, plus u can use it in ur 1st Aid Kit. but to each their own, hey if it works for ya!
