I am new to the fourm but I have searched extensively and there is a usb tank adapter ment for a battery pack but I want to straight from the usb charger (5v .7amp) or (5v 1.5amp) or (5v 1amp) or ( 5v 2amp) I have many chargers

What would I need to make a usb charger to a scavenged usb cord to a ego tip so I can use my tank at home without a battery

So the battery can charge and I can continue to vape

A big ..... resister to drop the voltage a buck converter or just wire it up and use my 1amp charger to keep the wattage down so I dont burn e juice and pop coils

There is already such a device on the market,it plugs into a usb on a wall charger, then screws into your tank without the battery. I bought one and am not impressed. Mine is a VV, it's about the size of a tank or clearomizer that then screws into your tank or clearo. It's very awkward to handle. But you might be able to deal with it I couldn't. Check it out on ebay or maybe they have a video on you tube. Good luck. I don't remember what the name of it is, sorry.

Hmmmm I wonder what ohms it will recognize

It's not smart enough to recognize anything. It is however dumb enough to fry your power supply if you overload the circuit by using a low ohm device. You are severely limited here by the continuous output rating of your power supply.

I looked all over ebay with no luck plus I enjoy inventing and tinkering plus it might make me rich some day if I make something worthwhile

look for vv mini usb passthrough.

But if you want to build something look at this:

Build a module with no electronics, just that size to resemble a battery, but it just will need to push into any mod tube like a battery, then you get an ac/dc universal adapter from radioshack, and wire it to the module.

-- or of course you can get the provape version, but for the price, it's worth it to mod your own and buy a universal adapter.

I made one with a 510 connector off an old eGo battery to use on a vamo5s control head, and it was only after that I realised it would have been better to make a 18mm cylindrical module to put into any mod directly instead of bothering with a 510 control head.

I have a 2amp and a 1.5 amp so my atty needs to have what size coil to be near 8 watts (what my vv is with a 1.5 ohm self-rebuilt coil in my kanger protank 2 for my flavor liking)

5 volts 2 amps = 10 watts
5 volts 1.5 amsp = 7.5 watts.

I used to use a 2 amp usb with my vv-usb-minipassthroughs
