USB Dual Power Adapter

I found my 801 passthroughs gave crap vape and virtually no throat hit when I plugged it into the computers USB, so I ordered one of these USB adapters you plug in your wall. This adapter came in the mail today and with 2000 mA, the vape from my 801 passthroughs was copious and the throat hit outstanding.

Like night and day, and for less than $4.00.

I've had mine for almost 2 weeks now, and it really works! When I first saw this posted a while back, I thought it looked like it would be really cheaply built, but it is a very solid piece. I use it at home in front of the tv, and at work when I am on break. I do catch a little flack from my co-workers who see me smoking with it plugged into the wall, but I don't care. (I use a bb and passthru and love it!) Out of all of this I have managed to get 2 other co-workers to get 510's...and one of them just got an exhaler.
Back to the usb jack...it is definitely worth it, and it only took about a week to get it!

P.S. I like the reviews you do!~

I too was quite surprised as to how solid this thing is built. I figured at $3.90 (the price for the unit with shipping added) if it was a cheapy built thing it would not have been a big disappointment. But it's solid and works great. Now my 801 passthroughs outperform the auto batteries I was using with it.

The only thing that sucks is you can only order one at a time. I wanted to order half a dozen, but you can't change the quantity of the order. :|

I just got the car to USB version, and I tried it yesterday, both brand new 801 PT and adaptor with a known working atty. No go. It would only flash at me and not connect the circuit.

I'm really getting tired of failing hardware and other equipment.

More than likely it's not hardware failure. Most USB/wall chargers are not designed for passthroughs. I bought a USB/Wall adapter the same time I bought the 801 passthroughs. When I plug the passthroughs in and press the button, it flashes. Not enough amps to power them using a standard USB charger. Same thing is probably going on with your car adapter. The passthroughs put a strain on the adapter and the amps drop, resulting in the flashing LED. The "flashing" is the signal that the battery is "dead". Heating the atomizer does take quite a bit of power, probably more than the standard USB/Wall adapter is designed to deliver. Your car USB adapter may be great for charging your batteries using a USB charger, but won't work with passthroughs because of the higher requirements.

This adapter that I posted the link to is raited at 5 volt 2 amps (2000 mA). Use both USB plugs (for his and her vaping, how romantic.) and you still get 1 amp each. It provided constant power to the passthrough. No more flashing LED and the vapor production/throat hit is great.

And at $3.90, it's worth a try. ;)
