Hey everyone,
I just got my automatic eGo today. Very satisfied with it. The vapor is wonderful and the throat hit excellent. One thing though...

I'm used to smoking KR8s with the cartomizers. Part of me misses the cartomizers, which don't have to be replaced/refilled as often as the cartridges that are used with the eGo.

I know that adapters available so that you can use a cartomizer on an eGo, just wondering if it would still be under warranty. Does anyone know if it would be or have any thoughts on the matter?

Thanks!

I've seen plenty of people talk about using the cartomizers with their eGo. I don't see any reason why it would void the warranty but your best bet would be to go here: JantyUSA - E-Cigarette Forum to ask that question and I'm sure you'll get a response straight from Mik or Ethan and then you'll know for sure it is the proper answer.

Fair warning.. you will get less vapor from a carto on the eGo than you will on a standard KR8 battery. The eGo puts out less "effective" voltage.

The "premium" carts may help you get some of that back.. but it will still be less than you will get on a true 3.7V device.

I have a Janty Dura charger. Will that charge the ego batts without an adapter?

Ego needs an adapter just because you cannot fit the ego in a normal 510 charger (unless u strip some plastic and expose the charger's connector). The adapter just prolongs the the normal charger so you can attach the Ego battery (in fact i think that the adapter is like a modified atomizer).

It looks the same but the diameter of the hole is too small. I have two so I may just dremel one off so i don't have to use the adapter.

In addition, the quick charger from Janty made for the ego wont work with normal batteries because of the high charge rate. They could overheat and cause a fire.

Guess that's the drawback of lithium batteries. As a general rule, the charge rate cannot exceed the mah of the battery.
