A little background: I started with a standard 510. I grew tired of the battery shuffle, and moved to a big battery mod. Unfortunately, I was not comfortable using a big hunk o metal in public (on a university campus). I broke down and purchased the eGo. It arrived yesterday and today was the first full day using it.
Aesthetics:
I have no problems using this device in public. Very nice looking, and it is obvious what it is.
Power:
In my tests a fresh battery puts out around 4.2v. I have been lightly puffing on a fresh batter for about 30min. It is still putting out 4.1. As I was at school I could not test a battery mid cycle, and unfortunately the battery I wanted to test died just as I got home.
Charging: It took 2.5 hr to charge from a dead battery.
Vape Time:
I have a 1.25 hr drive to school. Today I vaped constantly during the drive time there and back(for testing purposes
). While at school I vaped for a total of 45 min (10 to 15 min between classes). The battery died just as I arrived home (literally). Generally I take 4 to 6 second drawls, and wait anywhere from 10 seconds to a couple of min between.
Time to battery death: approx 12hr
Actual vaping time: 3.25 hr
I do want to stress that I did not notice any cut off from vapor/hit at the end. I was actually surprised it died.
I am extremely happy with this device. I did not think it would last as long as it did. 3.25 hours of "constant" vaping is very good considering the size of this device. I find this is the perfect fit for people wanting a longer lasting ecig, but do not want to suck on the can (don't get me wrong I like my big mods... just not in public).
Possible Alkalies Heel: Battery switch. It is a little flimsy. Only time will tell.
Wish: They included two atty covers in the kit.
