Want to start dripping, any suggestions?

Hello y'all,
I have been lurking in the shadows on Ecf for over a year now and finally decided to jump in. At this point in my vaping career I have found my niche with gennys, I own two zens and an RSST and I am completely satisfied. Unfortunately I am a tinkerer who loves shiny things, just bought a Russian rba and now I hunger for new shiny. I find myself fascinated with the idea of a dripper. Reason being so I could bounce around with flavors and not find myself locked in with a full tank of juice and no desire to have the entire contents of the tank emptied upon my shirt (that Russian can be a bugger to empty). I'm not a huge fan of silica or cotton in a atty, but I could learn to try new things. My plan is to grab a RDA at a decent price and try a ceramic wick/cotton hybrid setup. I will wrap my coil around the ceramic wick with cotton or silica near the ceramic as a "cheater" of sorts in order to help with wicking. Any ideas/suggestions/help/insults would be great!

Sounds like you already know how to set one up to your liking.

I can only say what I like/don't like, which may/may not be of any value to you.
I don't care for side air holes that leak, or tops that are just held in place by an o-ring. So this is my dripper of choice.
A7 Stainless Steel Rebuildable Atomizer
It seems to work best with a 1.8-2.2 ohm micro wrapped around 3 strands of 0.8mm silica.

Most drippers can be set up with mesh, though a lot of them leak a lot more with mesh wicks.
If you do want to try mesh in one, I'd recommend the nearly leak-proof Gryphon or Prometey from the Modders Group of Ukraine, Urq's Gota (specifically designed for mesh), or something with a deep well like the Origen.

Or just get a cheapo IGO (or A7 like mentioned above) to play around with different builds on.

I wish you luck, I didn't care for the ceramic in my ginny. I would really be surprised if you can get it to wick enough in a dripper.

Thanks for the input. My nic level is all over the place from .6 up to 3.0. I'm gonna check my local vape store and see if they are hiding a RDA outback today. Any thoughts on the immortalizer? Both the magma an atomic look bada$$!

i have a atomic that i just bought from bevapehappy for $90 and it works great, i love it. i have a nano dragon coil setup on it now that ui learned from watchin Rip Trippers. i had a 12mg nic juice and it just about would knock the back of my throath out and i smoked marlbro reds for 17 or so years.i added a no nic juice to dull it down a lil.

Well I grabbed a trident clone, wrapped a coil up...and must say I'm surprised talk about vapor... Flavor wow! I might grab a magma soon... But first I need a good vw device that can handle sub ohm territory. Thanks everyone!

i found a website called picknpuff that sells premade sub ohm coils. they might would wrap other coils for different ohms, but don't quote me on that.

My personal preference, even though I have not tried many droppers, is the Octopus RDA. Its SOO cheap like maybe 8 to 10 dollars depending on where you get it? You need to drill an air hole in it and plug up the previous holes, but for the price and usability it works amazing. Especially on my Magneto
