I started vaping 2 years ago and was able to quit smoking cigarettes for 1 year. I had a basic setup using ego twist batteries and viva nova tanks. This worked great for awhile but then I started constantly having problems with burnt wicks and juice. I tried different batteries and replacing the wicks regularly but just kept getting a burnt taste and could not figure out what was causing this. After several months I gave up on vaping and went back to cigs. I am desperate to quit smoking and want to try vaping again with a different setup. I was wondering if anyone could recommend something that could eliminate this problem.
Thanks

I'm sure you will get many suggestions :)

I started with eGo's and the Vivi Nova. Are you willing to try making your own coils? Or are you looking more for something that is fill and go?

There are a lot of new things in the year that you have been out of the vaping world. Hopefully you will find something that suits.

Hi slash75. Equipment has improved a lot over the last 2 years so hopefully you can find something that works for you. I would recommend an iStick and a Nautilus Mini. Just keep in mind that nothing is foolproof. There will always be some problem with equipment, but the people around here are great at helping solve those problems.

Attitude change did it for me. Instead of replacing smoking, I used vaping to get over the craving for the real thing.

There are lots of options in variable volts and watts now. Burnt taste is from too much power or not changing the coil before it is bad. Could be the kind of juice, the way you "puff", or something else.

The ego twist and a vivi nova is not a bad setup.

Don't be cheap with juice and coils. Look at what smoking costs you a day and you should be able to change coils and waste a little juice for less than smokes.

Hey slash. You might want to revisit those old Vivi Nova's. I had great success rebuilding the heads with cotton wicks and twisted 32ga wire. I drilled out the little nipple on the positive pin of the head and drilled the holes on the 510 connector. My gf still loves those tanks and we can load up any max vg juice in them with zero wicking issues...except you just must, must, must, must tip them to load up the atty.

When you take a big hit off the Nova with cotton wicks, you can see it wick when you tip it if you watch the drip tip. You can see vape come out the drip tip when you tip the thing:)
