Stress is a major trigger... And first month is the toughest... It does get easier...

I had a bad day at work last week. I was driving home and had the strongest urge to smoke an real ciggie I have had in months...

Do what you gotta do, and get back to doing what you need to do when you can... At the very least, you have spent much time smokeless, and know how to get back to there! Stay Strong...

I think each person is different. Some people have a cigarette, it tastes awful so they put it out and that's that. I'm not that kind of personality. I know I'll smoke three until it tastes like it used to. Or four. That's what I did several years ago when I tried to quit cold turkey. When I had the car accident earlier this week it was the first time in months I had craved a cigarette. I chain vaped. If some-one had told me just have a cigarette I would have had five. I'm so glad vaping exists.
If some-one says their goal is to not have a cigarette and reach 30 days without one then I'll support them. That's the goal they chose and if I can help them I will.
If some-one, like a friend of mine, is vaping and has cut down to 1-2 cigs a day I support them and congratulate them. I know they want to get cig free and they will in time. I can't stop at 1-2 cigs a day. I'd keep smoking more. They can cut down to that, but I couldn't do it that way. We aren't all the same with this I think.
What I do know for myself is that cravings pass, become less and less frequent, and after a couple of weeks I wasn't having them.

I had a rough day at work yesterday and really had the urge for an analog. I don't know if it was the fact that monday I have up on "needing" them and gave away the 2 remaining packs of camel lights I had to a friend, or just the frustrations I had during the work day.... but yeah the urge was bad. To boot I started having tight draw problems with my big vivi too so I was ...... off about that. I did decide to load up some of my favorite house blend in a carto and chain vaped it and today I feel much better lol

I think that just turning to thread like this here gives me confidence to stay off the stinkys and I thank all the people of this forum.

Seriously, this forum is an addiction enough alone to satisfy the urge to staying off analogs.

I had three cigs the first week I started vaping. Half of a Marlboro Light, put it out because it was nasty. Two menthols and still kind of had the urge when I went out at night, but they eventually passed. Now I'm over two months smoke free. Cig smoke actually bothers me now, kind of repulsive. I enjoy vaping, but I don't seem to be vaping as much lately. Sometimes I won't even think about it until I see one of my pv's. You did a good job by avoiding that cig in a stressful time. If you you avoided it when you had a really bad craving then you should be able to stay smoke free. Good luck!
