For me it takes longer to get the effect of the nic from the e-cig, so when starting out I was a little sad that I still wanted the analog. I was a 3 pack a day smoker. I started with 24 mg and kept with it. What I noticed was that if I took a hit or two from my e-cig and put it down it worked better than chain vaping like I chained smoked. Now I use 18 mg and vape less than I smoked and am not wanting an analog at all. I did go back and have one after a week or so to compare and I hated it. I put it out half way through and had to vape. Its been over three weeks since my last analog and can't imagine going back. It's not an instant switch for me but it was gradual for the first week of vaping I would have a couple of analogs mixed in especially in the morning on the drive to work and if I got stressed.

But it slowly came to looking forward to the first vape in the morning and not the first analog, than looking forward to a good vape after a meal etc.

Good luck and hope you stick it out, lots of us here had the same feelings when starting out and lots of us wouldn't go back if we had too.

my .02 cents from a fellow noob

I have 36mg when needed, usually vape 18-24mg. One thing that got me to keep on the 18-24mg without using the 36mg is the ADM cart mod for the 510. I use the mod with the blue foam (see eheim (ehiem?)) cart mod. This increased throat hit and vapor. I, like you, smoked Marlboro full flavored, 2 packs/day. When I inhale I blow no vapor out, until the ADM cart mod that is!

I don't THINK I saw anyone mention this in the replies, but it's said there's little if any advantage to holding in the vaper. When suspended in smoke (remember, we're talking solid particles when it comes to smoke), nicotine can't be absorbed by the body as quickly as when suspended in liquid vapor. With vapor, the effect is more immediate.

lmao ... i see no one must be reading my latest post... just commenting on the first post .... here was my latest post again... anyone who could help??

thanks for all the help and reply's. ya gooney i plan on quitting as well ... getting down to the 0mg nicotine... and then vaping here and there until i dont need to anymore. paise, ya i get those same cravings as well... morning, noon and night or if the wife is nagging to much :)

ok so i have been vaping a few days now ... few things i noticed, now maybe its just the flavor (marlboro) i have. But i can taste/smell that damn glycol PG ..... and every time i do it reminds me of being in a club or wedding reception, with those smoke machines... smells EXACTLY like that lol. i mean it doesnt really bother me that much, but has any one else noticed this??? i know they use the same stuff in smoke machines, i just didnt think id be able to smell/taste it as much as i do.

Also one problem im having with my 510 (maybe someone can help)

the atty i have been usuing all the sudden ... when i took a hit the vapor smelled BURN'T i dont know why ???? is the atty toasted? (hope not) every night i take it all apart, tip the att batt side up, and let the excess juice run out,
so when i noticed it smelled burnt, i filled the cart more (no fix) i blew out the atty and shook it.... got alot of juice outa it (so i know it couldnt have been dry) maybe to wet?? i just need some ideas how to get rid of that burnt smell or if that atty is junk now :(
thanks

Check how you align the cart when inserting if you taking long hits and heating up the atty you can melt the edge of the cart and vaping burning plastic is not pleasant. Also use a magnifier and take a close look at the wick of the atty do you have a poly fibers stuck to it both can cause the burnt smell. Try a different flavor with VG base like a ecopure from intellicig or innovapor, there are others as well, those are just the ones I have tried.

I hear 510's give less of a throat hit.

Most people would say (and have said) exactly the opposite but I did see one person post that last week. ??? Throat his is heat and nic and for the size - mini - the 510 can give better heat than the others in it's class and below. The only better throat hit on the heat side will be the HV mods.

I suppose if you're vaping 48mg on a supermini vs. 12mg on a 510, you might get more throat hit with the 48mg.

you know ... i bet ya it was some fibers... everything was fine with the juice. it was just all the sudden this happened, one hit was fine .. then the next hit was yuckkkkkkk .... but i bet it was fibers, since i took the cart off to refill i noticed a few time some fibers were stick out of the cart a lil.
