For me it takes longer to get the effect of the nic from the e-cig, so when starting out I was a little sad that I still wanted the analog. I was a 3 pack a day smoker. I started with 24 mg and kept with it. What I noticed was that if I took a hit or two from my e-cig and put it down it worked better than chain vaping like I chained smoked. Now I use 18 mg and vape less than I smoked and am not wanting an analog at all. I did go back and have one after a week or so to compare and I hated it. I put it out half way through and had to vape. Its been over three weeks since my last analog and can't imagine going back. It's not an instant switch for me but it was gradual for the first week of vaping I would have a couple of analogs mixed in especially in the morning on the drive to work and if I got stressed.
But it slowly came to looking forward to the first vape in the morning and not the first analog, than looking forward to a good vape after a meal etc.
Good luck and hope you stick it out, lots of us here had the same feelings when starting out and lots of us wouldn't go back if we had too.
my .02 cents from a fellow noob
