Wanting to try duel coil Kayfun build

This thread piqued my interest as I had never done a dual coil build so I figured I would give it a try. Went with 32g Kanthal 11 wraps on a 1/16th bit. Was shooting for 1.5 ohms, got 1.7 but thats fine.

Can confirm several of the previously mentioned observations. Getting everything on and the tightening down the post screws, only to have it deform the leg, or coil or both is maddening. After 3 attempts finally got it right. It does heat up very slowly. Very slowly. I have an MVP2 so I'm limited to 11 watts, but even maxed out it takes holding the button down and doing a primer draw to let the coil heat up before it manages to start producing good vapor. The flavor is good but I wouldnt say its mind blowing. I think the lower heat changes the flavor profile of the juice a lot. I am about through with a tank of Bound By the Crown which is a peach custard flavor and with the duals its defiantly more peach than custard. With my normal 30g 2ohm build I get much more of a mix of the flavors. I also feel like my coils have gunked up really fast as I'm not quite through the tank yet and its starting to get a little harsh but I haven't had it apart yet to check.

All in all, not terrible, but not better than my single coil build. Would probably be better if I could push more than 11 watts from my MVP.

Double barrel coils in parallel work fine on a vv mod IF YOU DO IT RIGHT. Serial coils, like Equilibrium suggested , work perfectly on a kayfun IF YOU DO IT RIGHT. You're a little quick to bite peoples heads off who are just trying to help. So what if they didn't read every post. Maybe if you paid as much attention as you expect everyone else to, you'd have a successful build in that kayfun. Not a crappy one that won't heat up.

well. that depends on the coil's length and dia, by the way,if the ohms is too low, it will burn up the coil very quickly. just find the stuitable one is ok.

is there anyone know the news about the story happend in 2012? somone was trying to build the battery mah bigger than the regular one,so he connect the two battery together, and it exploded that blew off his teeth.so be careful about changing the regular thing.if you are not that professional.
