So i wanted to start vaping to hopefully start to quit nic altogether. A friend gave me a Blu pack with 1 battery and 4 atomizers (?) i have been charging the pack CONSTANTLY for over 12 hours and the light is still blue with an occasional brighter blue flash, if i try to use it i take one puff and it immediately flashes 30 times.

Is my battery shot? Are Blu's a good alternative? I don't want fruity flavors or anything like that just my normal cig taste and i want it to look and feel like a cig, i think the massive ones i see some people using look even worse than just smoking a cig.

It sounds like the battery is shot but, Blu isn't very good anyway. It's expensive and hard to refill w/o buying the prefilled cartridges for it. For a starter kit, I'd recommend something like this. Shipping takes anywhere form 10 days to two weeks from here but, it's the lowest price I have found for these types of kits. I got one for my stepson last month and, it works great for him (his first e-cic.)

Yes, sounds like your battery is shot. I started with Blu and without more than one battery they are useless IMO. Such a short battery life anyway and then have to wait until your one battery charges to vape. I would recommend you go to something else like an ego style battery or an APV unless you want to be a slave to a power outlet or USB.

That looks a lot like what I moved to after getting tired of Blu e-cigs pretty quickly. They feel kind of like a small cigar in the hand. Nice balanced weight to it. The top part that holds the juice on mine (clearomizer) looked like this, just as an example of another option if you don't want to see the juice quite so much. It has worked very well for me.

If you like the taste of the Blu tobacco (if it ever even worked for you), it is made by Johnson Creek. They don't sell the exact same juice as they only make that one for Blu, but the Red Oak Domestic flavor is very, very close to it. Just fyi :)

You might want to try the eroll. It is like the Blu but better Joyetech eRoll Starter Kits Do some research and read different reviews, but I think it might be what you're looking for. Even if you decide to upgrade later it's a good device to have. Good luck on finding something that works for you.

Thanks, what about the JoyE 510 kit, is that any good?

Found this on youtube. Only halfway through watching it but it actually compares the JoyE 510 kit to the JoyE version of what Bluemoon suggested. edit: actually, it's a little different than Bluemoon's suggestion as the juice holding part is different, but nonetheless.

Finding it very informative so far, and doesn't really bode well for the 510 kit.

I don't care for Blu style "cig-a-likes". It's a cute little package that's supposed to comfort you because it resembles analog smoking. Some people love them, most people who used them before and moved on to bigger and better things can't believe they ever did.

The important thing is getting off the coffin nails, so if you can get a working battery for it (I agree that's the issue - when it doesn't hold a charge it's DEAD dead) and you use it and quit tobacco, that's what matters. Personal preference + staying quit = WIN!

I like the look of the eroll but NOT at $80, i like the price of the ego-as but not the look. I have no problem being chained to a charger since I am already in that boat with my phone. I like the look and price of the 510 but not if the reviews sucks.

I got to try an itaste this weekend. Gal who had it says she only has to charge it once every few days. It vaped well and looked cool, but struck me as bulky - but most mods do.

I love my eGos because they're slim and easily fit in your purse, pocket, wherever. I do need to charge it daily, but I just put it on the charger when I go to bed and it's ready to go in the morning. Having a spare or two and charging them in rotation helps.

The 510 is very anemic, just like the Blu. Matter of fact they are pretty much the same thing. Unfortunately size matters when it comes to batteries. The smaller the batter, the less it's ability to produce amperage. We normally go by the milliamp hour rating of the battery in the vaping world, and anything less than 450mAh has to many limitations.

This is what I suggest for a first kit, it's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done for a reasonable price. However it's by no means an "end game" .... you will want to upgrade all too soon.

MadVapes has a great deal on a Winder kit for $51.99: MadVapes Majestic ARO Kit

You'll probably want to upgrade to a variable volt device soon anyway, if you got a regular eGo style kit. These batteries are 900mAh variable volt eGo's. I would suggest getting some extra coil heads for the liquid tanks that come with the kit. 1.8-2.4ohm work best IMO. You can use less voltage with lower ohms, and that should give you a little but better battery life. Here's a link to the replacement coil heads:

    http://www.madvapes.com/smok-tech-replacement-bottom-coils-for-the-aro-trophy-and-tumbler.html

You'll always want at least ONE backup. I have 3 backup batteries. That way you'll never get stuck with a malfunctioning device, and no vaping while you wait for a replacement. This kit has two batteries, so you'll have a backup.

Some good options being offered in here (itaste vv and SMOK Kear in particular). I would just add that I have Joyetech eGo batteries and they hold their charge and have the performance on day 57 as they did on day one. They are sturdy, no worry about breaking one, and they are versatile with different juice vessels (clearo to carto to top coil to bottom coil).
