regular 510 charger can't be used on the eGo battery...and DONT EVER put a 510 battery on an eGo charger - it will kill the batt

A regular 510 charger CAN be used to charge the eGo/Tornado. It only needs an adapter. In fact, that's what TW sends in their Tornado kit (unlike Janty that includes the fast charger made for the eGo).

But the eGo charger killing a regular 510 batt is spot on (as in don't do it ;))

I have an ego battery that I charge with my 510 charger with an adaptor. I was just looking at the fast usb chargers and cignot has them for $8.00. They also have the adaptors for $4.00 and it's true that it does take quite awhile to charge them w/the 510/adapter charger.

I could have sworn that I'd seen the fast usb charger somewhere for $4.00, but I'm not finding it right now. If I do I'll post it here.

Yeah, thats why i said that a 510 charger 'cant' charge an eGo batt - the eGo charger charges my batts to full power in less than 30 minutes even when they are completely dead. Seems like a lot of trouble to go through with adapters and all only to have it charge slowly anyway.

Yep, my eGo charges in less than 30 minutes too. Gotta love that!! This eGo is the best thing (besides cartomizers) to ever happen to my vaping experience! LONG LIVE THE EGO!

completely agree with you! i like my eGo more than my big chuck! i think i need to try a soft tip carto because the only ones i've tried have been the glued-in hard tops and they always taste funky or make crackling noises like the filler is burning up terribly :(

Oh yeah!

How about a want....I want to try a soft tipped carto! ^_^

I was starting to think the same thing....until I got a Mega carto from Witchway in the mail today. These things rock (hopefully I'll still be saying the same thing in a few days :))

I wasn't a big carto fan either until I tried the LR 510 carto-OMG they are wonderful. Nhaler is the only place I have found them yet though. They were worth that 7.00 shipping charge.

I have 510 cartos with hard plastic tips and o-rings but they are not glued in and remove easily for refilling. Interested?

BTW, many vendors (Vapor9, Nhaler, CigEasy, V4L etc)are replacing hard caps with soft rubber caps without changing the inside of the carto. If you don't like the performance, the end cap won't make a difference. They are very convenient, tough. Crackling noises are good. Where are your cartos from and what is their ohm rating, if you know.

I've never experienced a funky taste with the cartos that have the glued in hard caps, hmmmm. We're all different animals though. :) That crackling noise is normal (and nothing is burning when you hear that)...I've noticed that it settles down some when the carto gets all warmed up. Some don't even do it at all, but still work well...cartos are weird. LOL But they're AWESOME! Oh, and if they're burning, you'll know it! Taste terrible! I have no extras to spare currently, or I'd send you one. Also...I've had no luck with LR cartos...I burn everyone one I get my hands on in 3 drags or less. :(
