I am looking to find a backup set of batteries for my 5v box mod.
They are trustfire 14500-900 ma-3.7V Li-on
Can anyone suggest a site that has good prices on these type of batts? Thanks. Jenn
Dealextreme.com is where I get all my batteries. The downside is shipping takes a while.

I believe most vendors are .50 cents more for each the China sites are like 4.50 right?

I'm actually looking for that but I also want a 2 place charger that's not generic, seems like that's about $15 everywhere.

Pip I believe I paid 4.50 for 2 on deal extreme. I also bought my charger there, too.

Maybe I'll have to look into that, was it protected etc? And the 14500? All the ones I've seen were very close in price.

Anybody have a 510 usb charger without a cable? Our cat likes to chew on cables and has sent mine to an early demise...

MadVapes is the only place I know of that has such a charger, but they are out of them ATM.

Any help would be apprecated.

IMHO the AW high drain batteries are the way to go now. I haven't tried the 14500's yet (about to order a pair) but the 18650's work a lot better than the Li-Ion's. They are also a little shorter which makes them fit the mods better. The 14500's won't be so tight in the box mods.

Is this for a higher voltage vape? I have been liking the 14500s...

They are still a 3.7 battery. They are just more able to keep up with the power draw from the atty. They seem more consistant IMO.

So you're saying the high drain is worth the less power (will die quicker) to have it consistently give enough power? I gotta go on dealextreme I guess haha

it's a trade off really...depending on which atty you're using...and LR atties are the worst senario

the Li-Ion batteries are 3.7V but the amp draw you put on them exceeds the max drain rate of the battery so what you get is actually voltage sag (they won't really perform as 3.7V) and you overstress the battery which cause the longevity of the battery and it's ability to hold and store a charge to decline....

the high drain IMR have a lower internal resistance and a safer chemisty which allows them to be discharged at a higher rate so they will have the power to make that atty perform at a true 3.7V (they'll hit harder)..additionally they wont be overstressed so they will last longer as far as longevity goes...however the amount of time on a charge (your vape time) will be less than fresh Li_Ion...

this of course all goes out the window with 18650 batteries where the high drain IMR batteries are just overkill...even the regular Li-Ion batteries have enough mAh to them to overcome the Amp draw problem
