NEED: help. How do I get an andonized drip tip off of a 510 atty? I can barely get my 306 one off, but this one won't budge. :( Even tried pliers.. they started to mash the threads. Any help is appreciated!

Banjo: hehe.. just me and my silly nicks

Vapin: I did the same thing. Who would have thought the "blue tinted ones" were clear??

Maybe try freezing it - then heating it?

Missy, I'll share. lol Jeez, have a cow :p

Rob, you don't owe me a thing. If you owed me before which you didn't, you'd have already settled that debt with the last package you sent me. If you send me something else, I'll owe you... and I owe enough people.. lol

Lbug, jeez that sucks. What's 'andonized' ?

If you heat the atty it will expand slightly, and if you cool the drip tip it will shrink. Maybe if you use the atty some to heat it up then put ice on the tip it will help. You can also try using a little VG for lubrication (it's used in many personal lubricants).

Silly question, but is the atty off the device or on it? I had the same problem and someone helped me out by telling me to leave it connected to the device and then twist it and pull it off.

Sorry.. had to make dinner! :p (those pesky kids)

Yea, andonized (or whatever, is some coating)
Red: I tried both.. although I may not have pulled as hard with it on, cuz I was afraid to damage the battery.
Pure: not sure I'm that co-ordinated

I don't have the strength I used to have, so it took pliers to get the 306 one off, luckily that one wasn't as tight :p

WOO HOO!! Worked like a charm!! It wouldn't turn (per se) but I saw a little movement, so I just rocked it back and forth and viola'! Came right off! Thanks SO much!
