To the best of my knowledge a mod style such as the screwdriver, janty stick, upcoming prodigy, gg, zi moshi type models will add more heat, providing better throat hit. Better and more reliable power sources.

If you don't already have one and aren't in a position to buy a model, a USB passthrough helps... but you likely already know that.

I must add that at this time I don't own any of those gems, but am currently on the hunt for the mod that is right for me for similar reasons.

I find the Screwdriver provides a warmer vapor.

The JantyStick, with its 801 atomizer, has a cooler vapor.

The warmest vapor I've found is provided by the iInhale/iolite, but it's not for the faint of heart. It is an expensive initial purchase (although there are no atomizers or batteries to replace), and it takes some fiddling to get comfortable with it.

Use of a device with a manual switch can help to increase vapor temperature. A high voltage device with a manual switch will provide thewarmest vapor. There are two primary downsides to using higher voltages. First, you can easily kill an atomizer if you run it too hot for too long or drip onto a hot heating coil and second, there is a reduction in flavor from the e-liquid.
