nic poising?
is it really that bad? is this all the truth?
thanxz for the warning i fall asleep with my 801 every night

Yes, I am a retired Nurse, an RN, and pure nic is considered a dangerous substance, and should NOT touch the skin. It should be handled like any other toxic substance.

oh come on...
DUH! don't fall asleep with a battery charger inder your legs, don't fall asleep with an ice-cream cone in your hands and... and...

DUH!

I fell asleep with my 510 in my hand, and was happy I wasn't smoking cigarettes any-more!

I woke up alive and NOT burned to death! oh what a relief

if you are so sensitive to PG, OR the enormously low amount of nicotine in it, then perhaps this is not for you...

I'm all for safety, but fer *****'s sake! an e-cig is 1000% safer "to fall asleep with in your hand" then ANYTHING that is on fire (and yes... that includes a smoke a joint or a log), and if you are gonna "break out" over contact with the contents of what is in the e-smoke liquid, then FFS don't use it! :p

:p

EDIT: just adding that I've spilled much "juice" on myself, not washed it off, and low and behold! not even a slight red mark of even itchy skin!

ie: if you have a problem with the liquid, DON'T USE IT!!!

I'd hardly consider violent uncontrollable bodily shaking just "breaking out." I've never once had a problem with e-liquid prior to this incident. I've gotten 36mg juice on me, swallowed excess 36mg juice from an overflowing cart many times, etc, and never had a bad reaction. However, given enough time and nicotine, this would happen to anyone.

Maybe it seems obvious to you not to bring an e-cig to bed, but most people would consider the enclosed device safe when not in use. Where then do you draw the line? Should we not bring MP3 players to bed? Should we turn off our heating system or air conditioners before we go to bed? Do we make our prostitutes remove their cute light-up Christmas sweaters before going bed too?

I wouldn't take mine to bed anyway, but good advice still.

Reminds me of overfilling a Zippo lighter years ago. I put it in my pocket slightly oily. About 2 hours latter my thigh felt like it was burning. The lighter fluid gave me a ugly rash.

I've gotten lighter fluid on my hands fairly often. A little bit for a little while is no big deal. A little bit for hours can become a big deal.

Keep in mind the skin on your hands is tougher than the rest of your body. I've seen guys pick up jellyfish with their hands, but it'd sting like hell anywhere else.

Also we all react differently to these things. I smoked almost 2 packs of "Mediums" a day. 24mg fluid is the minimum I can get by with on my first week of vapeing. I've seen plenty of other people make themselves sick with much less.

What do you mean, but people getting sick on less nic? Maybe they are trying to cut down, and get off the nic .. hmm? Anyone cutting down, will go through withdrawal symptoms, so that is to be expected.

Happy Vappering! ;)

I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or not PurKat, (I'm really bad at reading and expressing tone online:confused:) but if you weren't being sarcastic I think you misunderstood gooney. If I followed correctly, he was saying that although he started out vaping with 24mg liquid, some people get sick on less amounts nicotine because it's too much nicotine for them, not because they aren't getting enough. However, I could see where you might get confused about what he was saying. Again, this suggestion is if my interpretation of his statement is correct.
